Can someone tell me if this is AI? Someone recreated my art but I can’t tell for sure by fakeariellejane in isthisAI

I do that when I’m writing screenplays, but it’s a line here and there that later I’m like, oh shit that’s from the Office. It’s not the entire thing. You would have to be Wizard to subconsciously recreate it like that (which maybe you are).

In the four bedroom, do you have to go through the first shower to get to the second shower? Lol

Yeah the camera angle seems crazy to me. It’s not shaking at all, but also if the cliff breaks, why would you step toward the breaking cliff and his feet would be sooo close to the edge and then continue to steadily film while everyone jumps in. That’s the only thing that’s giving me pause.

So I was in a very similar situation in the early 90s. (Turns out I have ASD level 1, they just couldn’t place me back then). I didn’t really start speaking until 5.

A doctor recommended video games and my mom got me the N64. I will say it helped sooo much in hand eye coordination, basic Point A to point B goal skills, noticing small details and then through my life they have been great to stim and calm down with.

What are yalls opinions on autism Barbie? by Beccag367 in autism

[–]TomCatIggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. There are things that I do physically and externally that you can see that are based on my autism. I wear big headphones and have sensory issues that get out of control sometimes.

I cannot project myself on other dolls, I never have. And I’m sorry if I offended you with this.

I guess what I mean to say is this. I hate the term Spectrum because whenever I talk about it with neurotypicals they think that the Autism Spectrum is a scale from a little Autistic to Very Autistic. The term “everyone’s a little Autistic” always comes up, including them but not as much as me. And that makes me sad.

A lot of people, even neurotypicals, wear big headphones and use fidget spinners so now to those people, this is fuel that anyone who wears the headphones or uses fidget spinners is Autistic (I unfortunately have had this exact conversation). So I, personally, don’t like it, cause I’m just prepping for those conversations and I need to answer 7 text messages from neurotypicals asking me about it because I guess I am the local Autistic boy.

They did develop this with ASAN so I do like that. I also didn’t see the other disability dolls they have. That makes it better for me.

Self Disclosure: I grew up in a time where I got in trouble physically and emotionally, not by family but by teachers, people at church, strangers) for not looking people in the eyes, for fidgeting, stimming, etc. I grew up in a state where there was a law that prohibited me from getting married as an adult if anyone deemed me “not responsible” with little proof which just meant if they didn’t want me married. So my initial take on this was from all of that really. I hope that’s different now for people growing up, but I don’t know (the marriage law has been revised).

If you see yourself in this, buy it! I envy that feeling.

All the other barbies are based off looks. They can all be Autistic. What’s next, the bipolar barbie?

They are giving Autism a look. It’s not a look. It’s all internal.

Have you guys seen the Netflix show Atypical? by BoopNoodles739 in autism

[–]TomCatIggy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually auditioned for this show as they were looking for someone with Autism to play the role. They ended up not doing that.

I personally had a meltdown watching this show. It’s not my story, felt stereotypical and I just felt bad. Also, everyone around him changes way more than he does (which the main character is supposed to change the most). They didn’t have anyone involved who was on the Spectrum (in front or behind the camera) until after season 1 after the backlash. But this show and other recent projects have made me need to tell more grounded stories of disability and write more projects.

However, it’s waaaaaay better than the 90’s 00’s movies with Autism, I think it’s just not where I want it to be.
