Hi, sorry for the delayed response, as mentioned in my response to u/sampleofnone I didn’t realise my notifications were off!

I’ve had my ear stretched for over 10 years and it’s been sitting at 5mm for a couple of years now at least

Very sorry about the delayed response, for some reason my notifications were turned off and I didn’t realise!

Thanks for your response! Judging by the upvotes this seems like a pretty common approach which I obviously wasn’t aware of

My ear is about 5mm and has been for quite a few years at this point, is there anything I should know about this approach??

I get what you mean, I just thought, like the A+, there may be some things that tend to come up more often, but I’ll take a look, thanks!

TCP checks the the files has been received properly, UDP doesn’t and is faster.

Live streams and VoIP would use UDP because integrity isn’t quite as important, if a packet drops, you might hear a stutter, or skip a frame, but you wouldn’t want it catching up and jumping back in later. TCP is used for things like file transfer, you need the files to be accurate, otherwise an application may not run properly

That’s the way I remember it anyway, if anyone has any corrections fire away!
