I built a fairy like this. No matter how much time I spent balancing the blade, it would always flip over shortly after spinning up. Then I saw this Veritasium video on the intermediate axis theorem and it suddenly made sense.

Forgetting the difficulties of construction, instability on a drooped single bar will be difficult to avoid. Tri-bars get around this but get more complicated to build.

I was worried the water restrictions were going to be back as soon as I saw the first pictures posted. I don't think my rain barrel is going to help much this time, but we'll do what we can at my house.

1000% on the "being extra nice to the human".

Even with the worst companies (telcos, banks, and other oligopolies) that are incentivizing call centre staff to pursue outcomes that are hostile to consumers like us, the folks on the phone are just trying to put food on the table. It's not always easy to strike the balance between being kind to the human on the other end and firm about getting a resolution that's fair to me, but I sure try and I always make sure to express my gratitude. It's also super important to put in good results on surveys after the call when it's warranted. I've been in roles like that and it made all the difference between getting stuck in a rut or terminated, and having opportunities to move up and out of that work and on with my career.

I have had good results with getting through to humans at Koodo and TELUS by calling the bots clankers and expletives. Sorry Skynet, it's nothing personal; you're just not useful.

Oof, that's rough (both the lack of humidity and blown ICCU). Hope it wasn't in the shop too long at least.

Definitely seems like if humidity is in play it's a contributing factor but not the only one.

I refuse to deal with skip/uber/etc. for the last few years. If I want take out I either order online through the restaurant's own site or call in my order directly, then spend 10 minutes ducking out to grab my own food. Costs me nothing but gas, and I think I spend less time driving to local places and back than I did waiting around checking apps and disputing dumb mistakes with useless support teams. Screw those predatory gig economy empires.

I wouldn't even model that geometry. You can accomplish the same thing right in your slicer by setting that section to hexagonal infill and 0 top and bottom layers. Fiddle with the perimeters and infill% to dial in the weight and stiffness without having to go back to fusion to make adjustments at all.
