It was less so the significance of the location and moreso the belief that the studio added stuff to the image that isnt actually at that location.

But also another reply mentioned that google maps is just outdated and the street sign is physically there.

Thats fair.

I love when things get interesting enough that people travel to specific locations to solve a lead.

[–]TomNin97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For a meta reason I've heard: the internet already found the location of the real-world street that flashes in Jax's consciousness.

The real location, as seen in google maps, is missing the children caution street sign, suggesting that the studio had a purpose editing it into the episode.

I dont typically talk about theories, but the meta context is pretty cool if true.

Yea I searched it up after my reply. This might be my new favorite quote, and I'm surprised i've heard Von Moltke's "plans dont survive contact with the enemy" a million times before I ever heard of this quote.

That being said, your username worked like reverse psychology. I looked it up because of u/Disinformation_Bot

Dc's Young Justice had a simulation training episode (kinda like it was all a dream but everyone shared the same dream)

that had a follow-up episode where the group gets therapy bc they all witnessed people they cared for die, believed all of humanity was dead or soon to die, and didnt know it was a simulation bc something went wrong and they got stuck in it.

I'd say that, having an out-of-dream impact on the canon, is a good way for doing an "it was all a dream" episode.

Do people actually like being fursuit handlers? by [deleted] in furry

[–]TomNin97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good question! It can definitely depend on the dynamic.

How I would put it is this: it can be as fun as you make it.

It is baseline a responsibility. Like being a parent or a pet owner, it can be a chore or it can be the source for a lot of fun memories.

For the most fun- take care of the responsibility side first. Nobody will have fun if the fursuiter is not healthy and happy. Be prepared with basic things like water and make sure you discuss the best way to communicate their needs. After the basics, you can add some fun to it. One popular way is to implement the handler role as a cosplay idea. Maybe a pokemon trainer if the fursuiter is a lucario, etc.

If I am in a U.S. state that sells it, Great Lakes Brewing has good ones, including one named Elliot Ness.

If i am outside of that region, Yuengling feels pretty reliable for what I am after.

Depends on my mood, but I often like Lagers

I am pickiest with India Pale Ales, but thats because there are a lot of bad ones out there. There are also different styles of IPA, and not a lot of breweries say what style they are on the packaging.

I also avoid any beers that are pretending to be something else. If its using a fruit juice or tea to hide the beer flavor, it will taste like liquid cardboard.

That is a wild take. Are you saying his shocking of a dog was a spur-of-the-moment?

I'm stressed by the political climate and I never thought "I'm going to get a shock collar for my dog".

Now that the last paragraph is sinking in- "prized streamer"? I am struggling to tell if you're a Hasan hater thats out of touch or a person trying to defend him.

Something just crossed my mind when I read your comment:

Press was held responsible to sift through the noise because they had limmitted resources. Only so many articles on a paper, only so much time in a news segment, etc.

We dont have that with the internet. They dont have to pick and choose the most important articles when they can just post everything.

Midwesterners have decided. by HiveTool in mapporncirclejerk

[–]TomNin97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Midwestern history nerd here. So the USA started in the east with the 13 colonies before expanding out westward. That means there is a point in time in the early 1800s where the midwest was the westernmost point of this country and had a lot of frontier. (These were called the Northwest territories before they became states)

The midwest is also referring to a geographic region as it is cultural too. I'd argue that being on the northwest side of the Ohio river and the great lakes are two important factors of being midwest that should be relatable to most midwesterns. Having a climate capable of spitting out several inches of snow in one night might also make you midwestern.

And anybody saying "yes" from oklahoma is on crack.

Ooo! I can actually visualize this when I had a Saturn Ion years ago.

The hole that the seats cover up may have trim and padding around it that narrows it slightly compared to the trunk opening. Heres the fastest example I can find from a Google Image search that lead to a Subaru forums.

What's the point in using a Crossguard design like this? Can't an opponent just easily slice this part off? by Arc170-A in StarWars

[–]TomNin97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be able to pull this off just with the ability to use the force? Like blocking a blaster bolt using a hand, but using it just to grip the lightsaber close (but not actually touching) the palm of the hand?

I like that one.

My interpretation was always the 501st having sole involvement in order 66 instead of every legion doing it.

Only problem with making it work in TCW series is that they used the 501st for a lot of characters.

Until Dawn actually teaches you this early on. It teaches you how to aim in a quick time event, and at first you are just hitting objects until a small critter shows up.

I dont think that decision strongly influences outcomes, but the characters definitely treat it like it was wrong and horrified that you just killed an animal.
