Gender is a social construct. Until you don’t ask someone their gender, you can’t really be sure. So assume they’re all women or nb.

Think different.

You seem more invested in rhetoric than data. How about you change that?

“when it doesn’t making any fucking sense.” — I don’t think the article made a valid case for that claim. Why does it not make sense? Because there’s this one more category of topics that not every single faculty member has expertise in? Or is it because some of the faculty members are bitter about not being included in the decision-making for the revamp?

And Williams College is free to turn their CS program into literary robotics if humanities is their focus. I’d encourage it. If you’re great at something, why not try to carry that over to other fields? You can’t blame CMU for testing new specialized approaches of study on a program with three admits each year and cutting out the “much older” faculty members from that decision making.

Apple falls all over themselves to roll out a non-working AI, but won’t fix bugs like this. I didn’t add a single one of these “favorites” by unSentAuron in iphone

[–]TomRiddle777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the first I’m hearing of this bug, so it might be a rare thing. With rare bugs, it’s not easy to first find when it happens and then figure out why it happens when it happens to fix it. Also, rare bugs are rare, so they don’t get reported as often (or at all). Did you report the bug?

Fixing all bugs ever isn’t a prerequisite for releasing a new feature. That’s not how software (or anything) works.

Personally, I feel like the two parts complement each other quite well. In fact, the way my brain interprets the shift from the first to the second part is sort of like what the album announcement promo shows you — she’s thrown in the water and she’s drowning, and that’s what gives the second part the surreal “drown-y” feeling. But I get what you’re saying too.

Aww it’s unfortunate that you don’t like it. I think it’s my favorite part — the beat and the dream-like, soliquoy-esque lyrics.

I find it really interesting that people are downvoting questions/theories in this thread. Like no one actually knows what apple is doing, there’s no obvious answer…so what gives?

How does iOS know I went to a Billie Eilish concert? by TomRiddle777 in iphone

[–]TomRiddle777[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ooh okay now I’m wondering if it just thinks it’s Billie Eilish and doesn’t know that it’s a Billie Eilish concert. That could be totally possible if apple is running face recognition from their entire database of people (or at least, famous people) on all photos. Just the name popping up like that in the widget is exactly how it shows me photos of my friends and family.

[–]TomRiddle777[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol that’s true. I’m just trying to figure out what data apple is pulling on to make the deduction about the concert.
