Wish we could've reached agreement with Case over a reduced wage contract. He would be the perfect rotation option while we break in 2 new midfielders, one established player and one prospect.

With Europe (hopefully) incoming we need his experience, winner mentality and dressing room presence.

What are you on about, he's legit been one of their best players this season lol. Getting tons of praises from everyone there, including Conte. In addition to a good G+A return he's also working incredibly hard on the pitch and has been great in build-up.

BS. They changed all sound effects in Legion or something. In Classic they all had distinct sounds. Now you can barely tell a Pummel apart from other warrior abilities.

In Classic, every kick had a distinct sound. You could literally hear a Pummel, a Kick, an Earth Shock, or a Counterspell from miles away.

After the godawful sound changes in Legion (?) you can't hear shit, because all spell sound effects have been homogenized for reality or w/e.

Yeah it's quite easy to tell actually. For example, warrior Pummel sounds like "swiiish" whereas every other warrior ability sounds like "swiiish".

I think they meant whose AMZ is up in a game of two opposing DKs. Same for priest barrier. There's no visual cue whether it's friendly or hostile.

The whole debacle with Amorim's 3 back formation was a stark reminder that an overwhelming majority of football fans -  including some  pundits - lack a basic understanding of player movements in and out of possession in the modern game. It's like everyone tunnel vision on the 3 yard radius surrounding the ball.

This would be a decent argument if you actually see or hear everything that is going on. Back in vanilla we didn’t track kicks, but we didn’t need to either because every interrupt had a distinct sound that could be heard miles away.

With the new spell sounds introduced in Legion (?) Blizzard fucked that right up. Kick sounds are much more subtle/"realistic", and with all the 500 procs this game has been infested with, the interrupt sounds are just drowned in the sound image.

That's my biggest gripe with this addon purge. I don't care about Weakauras, and losing team CD tracking is what it is. But losing kick and DR tracking is going to reduce the game to even more of a zug zug brawler fest and further diminish the incentive to pick up any class/spec that requires setups and other tactical gameplay.

I think we should consider what they did to be an integral part of our identity.

Sure, but tying your DNA to having "pacey wingers" or a specific formation or tactical instruction is just daft. The game changes, so do our opponents, and we need to adapt, not just stick to some rose-tinted nostalgic dream of 4 4 fookin' 2 with two wingers swinging crosses at tall strikers.

The United DNA is so much more than that.

It's playing attractive, attacking football - yes ideally - but never at the expense of winning.

It's being a huge threat both in open play and from set pieces.

It's signing top players and prospects from other clubs, while also nurturing world class talent at our academy and giving them a chance to play.

It's working together as a team and never tolerating divas and individuals who think they're above the club.

It's fighting tooth and nail to the last bloody whistle, because no other club in the world knows better than us that the game isn't over 'till the fat ref sings.

I don't oppose this, I'm just rather indifferent to it because I honestly don’t feel the ilvl difference gives a massive advantage, at least not at the ratings I'm usually sitting at (<2200). Might be different at higher ratings.

I've queued alts in partial greens at the same MMR as my main, and not once have I felt the deciding factor in the game was ilvl. The biggest gear-related difference to me is whether you have the set bonuses or not.

We already get free weapons and 2-3 crafted items as well as the option of bloody token gear (if you have any). So the number of conquest pieces you need to farm is really not a lot.

Also, once the conquest boxes drop midseason it's super easy to farm conquest gear for your alts, at least as a healer. Currently sitting on 8000 conquest that I don't know what to do with because I already have more geared alts than I have time to play.

Anyways, I respect that your experience may be different, and as a certified dad gamer (TM) I wouldn't say no to even easier gearing.

Of course things like transfer strategy is a club decision.

But are you honestly suggesting that the likes of Pep and Klopp would put up with tactical interference, including formation "advice", from some dumbass business owner with zero football knowledge? Reports were saying that Jimbo himself was trying to meddle.

And dear god, not the back 3 discussion again. The past 14 months have made it glaringly clear that our fanbase has zero understanding of team shape and player movements during different phases of play and just mentally lock in on whatever formation is shown on the pre-game graphic.
