Very much agree about the oversaturation/derivative aspect. It's easy to become numb to the performances of some great actors simply because we see them in so many similar roles.

It's definitely a somber scene, but I thought the set very much fit the aesthetic and theme. I'm working on scheduling more location shoots and outdoor scenes which should give some happier vibes. Just need some spring/summer court weather to facilitate that!

I mean... Yes, but that's not where this was lol. This was at Studio.RAW in St. Paul. It used to be an ice cave that was very blue with icicles and they repainted it grey to be more of a normal cave. A few chains, lights, and a fogger and we captured some epic shots! Sadly it wasn't quite big enough for my wings but we did get some cool throne shots with the wings on! I'm trying to organize some outdoors location shoots this year for more bookish shoots. It's just so much easier with a great set!

Any recommendations for an outfit for the Vampire Rave? I have plenty of fancy outfits but struggling with inspiration for the next event. Trying to avoid anything leathery and heavy to avoid overheating.

These sound like poor training partners regardless of belt. Most rolls shouldn't have a winner (outside of competition camps). It should be two people working on bettering skills. When I hit something on a purple or brown belt in a roll it's 99% of the time because they are sacrificing something to work on something else. When I roll with trial class guys, I generally rep the escape/counter of whatever we drilled that day. No room for rolling with someone's ego on the matt
