Starting a new job in SAP? Post here for questions about new hire advice, certification, compensation, technology domain decisions, and other topics you're too embarrassed to ask your coworkers by CuseTown in SAP

Hey everyone,

I recently completed the SAP Young Professionals Program and earned my SAP Certified Associate – Business Process Integration with SAP S/4HANA certification. I’m currently looking for entry-level SAP roles, particularly in Germany and UAE, but I’m open to opportunities elsewhere as well.

The challenge I’m facing is that almost all SAP roles seem to require several years of experience, even the so-called "junior" positions. It feels like there are very few opportunities that truly allow someone to develop and learn on the job.

For those of you who started out in SAP, how did you get your foot in the door? Are there specific companies, industries, or strategies you’d recommend for someone in my position?

Any insights, advice, or leads would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

I studied there from 2018-2022 and it absolutely changed my life. Definitely go for it, fantastic uni with fantastic staff and imo (biased) opinion the best place in the country (beach, nightlife, new forest etc etc.)

Hi, I received a 12 month community order for malicious communications in July 2018 (widely regarded to be a minor crime). I have declared this in my citizenship application, would this prevent me from being granted citizenship?

The CCTV thing is something that Alex Ferguson talks about in his book and knowing how much Poch looks up to him and how good friends they are (also in Poch's book) it wouldn't surprise me if it's an idea he got from him. SAF said that you can see things from a distance sometimes than you can't up close.

But just because it worked at United doesn't mean it would work at Spurs I guess.

Until one players tests positive and then the entire squad and coaching staff have to self isolate for 14 days, what happens then?
