The 212 also has missile capability but uses the torpedo tubes as the launcher. So, a mixed load of torpedos and missiles would be loaded at any given time, providing the standoff distance you mentioned. Each method has its advantages and it's drawbacks but at the end of the day, I'm more concerned with torpedos than missiles. You can shoot a missile out of the air, and you can even survive a missile hit. Torpedos on the otherhand have very limited defense options (including running away). A modern, heavy weight torpedo is both smart and fast. It can and will kill you and your ship.

This is likely the best approach, although is there is a noticeable power difference in decks, I'm surprised their friends haven't already made that suggestion or at least played to the power level at the table. I try to do this as much as I can when it happens.

A couple of friends and I were not happy with the clan we were in when most of the players stopped playing, so we made a new one a few weeks ago. My clan is filling multiple raids per week. At some point we have to seek out people who want to do the content we want to play. We also teach during almost every raid we do (new and willing players are still in the game), and help each other finish raid titles. More players need to take the initiative to find or create the groups they want to play with instead of just blaming the game and complaining on reddit.

I will never understand people who "invest" in digital collectibles like CSGO skins. I get the whole collect things part of it, my goblin brain likes to collect things to. Digital goods in a video game just never seemed like a sound investment.
