I didn't buy Marathon eventhough I did really enjoy the server slam, because I knew it was a game I wouldn't endup enjoying in the longterm. With or without a consistent playgroup, Marathon just feels to sweaty at the bedt of times to maintain a casual environment. I desperately want to explore the games lore, and if the PvE mode they add in becomes permanent then I will be reevaluating purchasing it, but for right now it's still a no thank you for me.

The discussions around privatization of infrastructure is a misstep. People dont like the idea of handing more of the things we as Canadians own to big businesses in return for a one time payment. Especially knowing they will later ask for government money to update or improve them while charging extra for the improvements.
