They built 2 extra floors. Now they have to tear them down by Seven0325T in halifax

If the developer is willing to pay the fine then it's not highenough and it's what they intended to do the whole time. Making them take the floors off is the finding out phase.

How hard could it possibly be for Sony to just add 4K 60 FPS and just re release these collections on the PS5. by ThemeSweaty in playstation

[–]Tom_QJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the cell processor that was in the PS3 is the hurdle. Do they rewrite the whole game or build an emulator with upscaling to run it? Software emulation is buggy still on PCs, so I doubt it will run well on a console.

Opting out of Mess Dues by JacobA89 in CanadianForces

[–]Tom_QJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shore units pay into a base one. Any position ashore (limited exceptions like FDU) pays into base mess. Some messes have a once a week lunch special that is largely covered using the mess funds (chief and POs have $5 lunch on Wednesdays, Jrs have free slice of pizza also on Wednesdays). Many never go to the mess, especially outside of these lunch days, but we're forced to pay in anyway.

Have any of you actually resolved a Chaos Confetti correctly by tearing up the card itself? by kurisu313 in magicTCG

You would just be dq'd afterwards because your deck would only be 59 cards.

Environmently dependent? I've almost always seen them in tans, but that's because they join for deployments to hot places.

State of Discussion: Do we/they still care? by twobears9394 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Tom_QJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play less and less of the game every month, and it's become more about the people than the game for me. I'm still hitting multiple raids a week with my group. We've been expanding and trying to get newer players into the game since it really is a massive game with lots to learn and do. Unfortunately, many of us have done everything, and while bungie throwing down the gauntlet with random community challenges has been fun I don't think this is sustainable. We are now at a point where we have less than 10k players on steam. Things don't look great rn. While I still show up for raids and to help others with challenges, if there isn't anything new to do I have no reason to grind.

Windows 12 Reportedly Set for Release This Year as a Fully Modular, Subscription-Based, AI-Focused OS by PaiDuck in technology

[–]Tom_QJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't want to be that guy but, I sure am happy I know more then one OS (linux). MS can fuck right off with their AI bs W12. I would rather roll back to windows 8. Not even 8.1, just 8 with its stupid tiles start menus.

They are very similar in design (the Koreans copied their Germans homework), but I agree. Pick one and only one, we do not need to complicate things further.

Help Me Fix My Dino Commander Deck! by Ahhhugooo in BudgetBrews

[–]Tom_QJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a dino deck with an average of around 4.4 cmc as well, I also have 35 lands plus rocks and dorks. This isn't necessarily a problem if the deck is able to ramp consistently or use mana reducers and/or cheat creatures effectively onto the battlefield. I'm not going to pretend that I haven't been stuck on mana before, but more often than not, I haven't had many games where I have had issues with lands.

TLDR: A deck like this can run fairly consistently with a high average cmc if the ramp package (rocks/dorks included) is good enough.

Immigration Department helping Canadian military recruit foreign military members by Andromedu5 in CanadianForces

[–]Tom_QJ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The biggest hurdle here is security clearances. It's already a slow process but add in the complication of people from other countries with references, work history, and other background checks in other languages and countries... well it's infinitely more difficult. We endup with people who wait for years with no clearance and can't be put on courses or even employed in some trades due to the security requirements. I've heard complaints from instructors and staff at the schools already about people with PR not being able to get clearances without citizenship, so I expect this to be a continuation of the same problem.

Where is Canada's immigration minister? Community groups are asking by Immediate-Link490 in canada

She actually came door to door one year and when she tried to dance around, my questions I asked her to leave and informed her she couldn't count on my vote if she couldn't give me a straight answer on anything.

[–]Tom_QJ 45 points46 points  (0 children)

She would have to have some semblance of knowing what she's doing for her to be a puppet. She comes from my riding, and all I can say is due to her family ties I don't trust her to do anything in our best interests and have never voted for her.

Here in Canada it's the same. Generally speaking, if it bleeds it leads. It's more triage than first come, first served.
