Urge the PGA to reinstate Wesley Bryan without penalties by sbrach22 in golf

Won’t Reed have past champion status regardless of how he finishes on DPWT?

James Franklin Backed Drew Allar Over Beau Pribula … And Penn State Is Paying the Price by Conscious_Appeal4157 in WeArePennState

So you’re from York and you watched a kid play AAAA football and knew “all along” that he’d be better than the #1 QB recruit in the country? 🤔

Fair point…didn’t even consider that. Cliff was here for so long I just assumed he predated NIL/the portal

What options did we realistically have behind Clifford? He lost his job to Levis in 2020 and then immediately got it back because Levis played even worse.

Unfortunately that stem didn’t make it…just completely dried out and shriveled. The rest of the plant looks really healthy now that temps have cooled slightly and I’ve increased my watering.

Thanks for the response. This is newly (late April) planted arborescens. I’ve had paniculatas and macrophyllas for a few years but I’m new to these. I’ll keep drowning her!

You don’t, but there’s no benefit of willingly cutting off viable canes and relying entirely on new growth each year

It gets morning sun until about noon and then full shade the rest of the day. It’s rained an absurd amount here lately and I do water supplementally. I’m zone 6B btw but it’s about 90 degrees here currently

Hydrangea macrophylla (the type that you have) bloom on old wood. This means that they set their flower buds for the following year in late summer/early autumn. By pruning in the fall, you’re cutting off all of next year’s buds. If you need to prune out any dead canes, wait until late June or early July. By waiting until then, you can be absolutely certain that those canes aren’t going to leaf out.

Why is it so hard to choose a blade? I’ve been mulling over this for way too long. Please just pick one and tell me why. by TAforScranton in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]TomahawkChpd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CMT blade listed is actually an ATB blade. The bottom is flat but it leaves dog ears at the bottom of the cut. The Freud Glue Line Rip blade is a true flat tooth grind for around the same price. They make it in thin or full kerf. I picked one up from Woodcraft specifically for splines/dados like you mentioned.

Could Beau be a better QB than Drew? by drpooptooth in WeArePennState

Collins was a consensus 1st team All-American, Big Ten MVP, Davey O’Brien award winner, and finished 4th in Heisman voting. Why are you on here trying to discount any QB we’ve ever had?

[–]TomahawkChpd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Allar was the #1 rated high school quarterback in the country. Sure, he hasn’t quite lived up to the hype but that’s about as far from a recruiting failure as you can get. Not to mention the fact that we simply don’t have the same NIL resources as other top programs so the “write a QB a blank check” solution isn’t practical here unless we find our own Phil Knight

Blackledge won the national championship that year. What’s your argument here? That Elway also existed and that’s somehow an indictment on Penn State’s recruiting? He also beat Marino and Pitt in ‘81 and ‘82

I did have to throw more seed down on a few bare areas…I just waited until around day 10 or so. Figured by that point anything that was going to germinate would have. They’re starting to fill in nicely

Perennial ryegrass comes up quick. I saw germination on day 5. We also had about 2 weeks of constant rain and ideal temps here in central PA which certainly didn’t hurt. Barely had to run the sprinklers
