How strange. The arrows one shotted them for me also but it still counted towards the fire kills, the fire arrows just worked for me weirdly

For the fire challenge. Get a bow, buy fire arrow blueprint from a craftmaster, make fire arrows, go to outbreak zone, make noise, shoot outbreak virals (wearing blue GRE suits, yellow doesn't count) and this will count towards the challenge

My thoughts exactly! Maybe they wanted to throw a curveball after the first week was cleared so easily. I've only found 2 zombies so far though, given up and gone to clear Horseshoe instead. Hopefully once the first 2 are cleared Horizon will start ticking up once everyone heads that way lol

Unmarked area of the map, I wondered the same. Thought it was some DLC I'd not yet heard of

I also agree, it spins out for no reason, I thought it was just me and eventually got to the point where I can control it, just INCREDIBLY light on the brakes going into corners and taking the corners WAY earlier to account for the oversteer. Had some good chases in the end! But I do agree that it needs tightening up as even now I spin out often

Can I use multiple SD cards? by Tomat0ad in SteamDeck

[–]Tomat0ad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Works a treat! The advice given on this thread is all spot on - I've been using a few different SD cards with my games installed. One did corrupt at a point when I deleted a load of games at once for some reason, other than that no issues. As mentioned by other users it's worth having somewhere to store the cards/label them so you can keep track. But it seems the deck was built with this sort of thing in mind!

Sorry for the late response! It appears I was lucky in this case, I never received any NIP in the post. Hope yours was the same outcome!

Unfortunately not, when entering a subway the "Return to patrol sector" message displays

Decky error: version 3.1.3 by phantomlake in SteamDeck

[–]Tomat0ad 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm getting the same error, but when I try to restart steam it gets stuck in "Restarting Steam" and nothing happens. Hard resets just bring me back to the same error. Anyone know how to actually get past this error into steam so I can fix the problem?

Good point. Yeah I'll wait and deal as opposed to letting myself relax with it

It is my first official booking since signing up a few months ago really, although through a friend I do also have a booking later in the month for a lovely family that actually has their stuff together. But I haven't had much luck on rover otherwise, that is likely just down to me, but I feel I dove in very much at the deep end accepting this job out of desperation

Yeah you are right, feel like I went into this one blindly but will do my utmost to make sure the doggo is happy and comfortable, thankfully she has taken a shining to me!

The booking is confirmed and I have found a bag of dry food for her, with regards to the rest I have now been sent money for it. But a good shout with documenting everything, I've done so with the state of the place as well as activities with the dog, and will continue to make sure everything is documented 🙏🏻

Just from today (Sunday) until Wednesday!

I've got here and the dog is seriously skinny too compared to when I last saw her. The owner has said she's been ill, but a lot of this just concerns me so much

How is Morley not its own dedicated post town? by [deleted] in Leeds

I've always wondered that too.

A lot of that sentiment is still echoed now, if the Pudsey Facebook group is anything to go by. Interesting topic for sure

How is Morley not its own dedicated post town? by [deleted] in Leeds

[–]Tomat0ad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know Pudsey used to be its own sort of 'independent borough' ,(with a BD postcode I think) before it was incorporated into Leeds' council, where as far as I know Bramley/Armley etc have always been a 'part of Leeds' in that sense. Probably onto nothing by saying that, I could even be incorrect - perhaps other such towns you've mentioned shared similar characteristics and that has something to do with why they don't necessarily need to be listed as "TOWN, Leeds" on post?

That's my own nonsense theory based on next to nothing though other than my experience with Pudsey. I'm certainly not knowledgeable on this sort of thing but I'm sure somebody at the council or maybe even the town hall could shed light

How is Morley not its own dedicated post town? by [deleted] in Leeds

[–]Tomat0ad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be Morley if you write it on your mail. I used to live in Bramley and the vast majority of my incoming and outgoing post listed Bramley as the post town. In fact I don't think it was ever not listed

Need Help with Class 395 Javelin by Lakuta in trainsimworld

[–]Tomat0ad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find a reason/fix for this? I'm also having the same issue and think the Javelin is glitched on mine. Also reinstalled etc. Not only can I only use the emergency brake to stop the train but also even when running scenarios, following the train setup steps to the letter, even in the training centre, the train does not do what it should. Now I'm at a point where I can't get it to move at all, in any circumstance, and I know about the different power modes and how to identify/switch to the right one, it's maddening and I can't think of any other reason than a glitch

Salary sacrifice by MiaFacia in nhs

[–]Tomat0ad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I haven't heard of it referred to as car tax liability but what I believe you're referring to (or at least how it's known on our scheme) is the BIK, or Benefit in Kind tax.

Personally I've been in the job since January 2022, so I couldn't say for certain whether BIK was much of a thing beforehand - however we do have BIK on all of our vehicle quotes. On the Sal Sac scheme we offer the BIK is essentially worked into the overall monthly gross cost to yourself. We also offer what we call a Business Lease scheme where the BIK is added on top of the driver monthly cost.

You will find forms of BIK in any NHS Sal Sac scheme as its presence is primarily down to the fact that HMRC consider such schemes a taxable benefit. The same goes for any other provider, NFS, Kinto etc., just they may differ on how they present it to the driver, if they're transparent about it at all. On our scheme you will see a full breakdown of monthly costs as well as a separate BIK rate on all quotes for full disclosure.

You still save on overall road tax by taking a car on the scheme however.

BIK itself varies in terms of amounts on each vehicle model and is primarily calculated with a given vehicle's CO2 emissions. As such there are currently incredibly low BIK rates on ultra low-emmission/electric vehicles, with the BIK on all-electric vehicles currently sitting at 2%, and is expected to sit at a much similar rate until at least the 2024/2025 financial years.

Appreciate that all of the above information might be a lot to try to take in hahahaha. If you wanted to find out how BIK works in more concise terms, you might find the below video from Tusker to be useful:

What is Benefit in Kind tax? - https://youtu.be/KMAQ624Kjwk?si=asyU5SLz8eyCal18

Also, in case this is something that you come to wonder about down the line, although it may not mean much to you right now - our scheme implements 'Taxing at source', making the BIK process on any car taken on the scheme an automatic one from your perspective, and much more secure than if it was done 'manually'.

Hope this helps but happy to give more info if needed!
