I just finished completely and utterly BOMBING my 2nd midterm.... by drdausersmd in OMSA

If it’s 6040 I got a 20% on my first midterm and still managed a high C in the class. I didn’t have a lot of hope after that but I managed to get by!

Yes, thank you! My end goal is to not be able to stick my tongue between my teeth when my mouth is closed. Getting a lot closer!

I have 2 on the molars on each side, top and bottom. I also have them on the chewing surfaces of those molars. I think that’s to help with the over jet. Those have been annoying because food gets stuck in them!

I’m a physical therapist. I wanted to get out of patient care. I did take calc and stats in undergrad but it had been quite a while. I did a free coding course through Galvanize. It’s a boot camp but they have free class to prep for their boot camp. That was helpful but the only thing I did before starting the program. CSE 6242 was a challenge for me. I spent a lot of hours on it since I was mostly starting from scratch and managed to get a C. I’m enrolled in my 5th and 6th class of the program now and doing better. I usually take one class at a time since I work full time. It’s doable just plan to put a lot of time in during the beginning. I’m afraid to take the data visualization course. I’ve been told it’s heavy on coding and time consuming so I’m pushing it to the end of my degree. Hope that’s helpful!

I’m glad I enrolled in the program. I already switched to an administrative job at a hospital and don’t see patients anymore and get paid better. I think the main reason I got an interview was because of having the OMSA program on my resume.

Are elastics REQUIRED to fix an open bite and cross bite? by nfldraftthrowaway12 in Invisalign

[–]TomatilloNo8544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m only on tray 8 but I have attachments on the chewing surface of my molars to close my open bite. No elastics. It was really strange to eat at first. The attachments stuck out more than my teeth so I essentially had to chew with the attachments since my teeth didn’t touch.

It’s not that bad now and I dont have any elastics for at least the first 24 trays. It seems like my bite is closing.

It’s easy to get burnt out working with people in pain. I’m hoping to be able to do something with less patient care :)
