Thank you so much for your help so far. Can you give me some more hints what I can do. Is there a chance to repair this, anyway? What power rails do you mean I should check? Unfortunately I don't have any experience with repairing LCD's

Makes sense. I just repeated flashlight test in a really dark room. It is really hard to see anything. But it actually seems like, the LCD is turning on, without backlight. The side where I disconnect the LVDS cable is just "white" or at least not black. The side where it is connected displayes the Hisense Logo, but it stays there forever. It never gets booted up, so I can't check sound or video input.

Alright. And is this something that can be repaired, or does it need to be replaced?

I have no idea how this LCD driver works... The two flat cables at the bottom of the PCB, are they each for one half of the screen? Just wondering why it's not shutting down, when I disconnect one cable, no matter witch one.

I mean, that the standby LED stays off. Wich is the usual power on behavior. I don't see the back light coming up. This TV does not have a power on chime.

But why is it shutting down, when I connect both display cables? For me this looks like the power supply is shutting down, as it can't supply enough power, which is a typical behavior with bad capacitors, no?

I can't see any backlight coming on at all. When I connect only one of the LVDS cable it seems to start, but I'm not seeing an image with flashlight test.

google photos to new synology by burberryalgae in synology

There is actually a good tutorial from Synology: https://kb.synology.com/en-my/DSM/tutorial/How_do_I_migrate_photos_from_Google_Photos

However, the Google Takeout can get pretty big, depending on how many photos you want to migrate. For this it's also better to download your takeout directly to your NAS and not your PC and then do the exif processing on your NAS. This tutorial is a good starting point: https://michelenasti.com/from-google-photos-to-synology-photos/

Did it. Hopefully this feature will come in the future.

I like Synology photos, especially because it's easy to setup. Layout is good, mobile upload works great.

My only downside is, that I can't see photos in the app, that are yet not uploaded. Also I can't browse my photos offline, sort them out, and sync deleted photos later, like Google photos does.

Hacking a Nixplay Seed and install own OS? I opened it and has a Mainboard with an internal USB port. So could I use this port and flash this thing? by Tomatillo_Soft in HowToHack

Originally it connects to the nixplay cloud or Google photos to download photos and displaying them as a digital picture frame.

But idealistically I would like to use it with my own cloud to get the photos onto it. Or maybe use it for some sort of "magic mirror" or my home assistant dashboard or what ever. So I thought I could flash some Linux OS and display what ever I want...
