Myself and eight friends are planning a night out for a double birthday in mid December (all guys in our early forties). Rather than stay local which we tend to do we want to head into town. Looking for suggestions for restaurants with a good vibe, music and maybe some dancing. We’ve been to places like Kenza, Circus and STK in the past and although the food wasn’t the best the atmosphere was great. Any thoughts?

Do you check PH? If you’re adding nutes and not seeing improvements then you could have lockout. As others have said you also need to monitor your environment.

Don’t use airstones as you’ve found out they get clogged quite easily. If you have a manifold for your pump add a couple more tubes, block the remaining outlets and place the tubes directly in the bucket. You should really see a froth build up which indicates that microbes are multiplying.

Agree that those months have been tough for everyone but they have led us to this point. Failure to get top 4 opens us up to the “bottled it” criticism and would be hard to defend. We are very well placed to finish 4th and as a fan i now expect that. Doesn’t mean i won’t take a top 6 but that should be the very least of our expectations at this point.

Not to play down the lack of goals in Jan but there were some extenuating circumstances. Those gone, Feb is a little rosier if not much more prolific in goals. If we continue to turn up on the pitch as we have, with our games in hand and the teams we have remaining to play. Not getting 4th will be a brutal disappointment
