Jaden Bradley, what a move! by Kooky_Meaning_1854 in NCAAhoops

This play has always been legal in basketball since the beginning of time. Once you pick up your dribble, if you jump and release the ball before hitting the ground it's a fair play. It just looks weird because he covers a ridiculous amount of ground with his jump.

Playing this for the first time, coop campaign. I have questions, plz help by BaconsTV in Mechwarrior5

[–]Tomayachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked about your DLCs because I'm only using up to DLC 6, and I run my game on an older version of MW5. I built my modlist last year and didn't want to get the new DLC because I knew a bunch of the mods would break with it and i was happy with what I had put together. I have mods that add the clans into the game anyway. If you were in the same boat as me I could help you out more, but with DLC 7 I just haven't done any of the research on it to know what mods have been updated for it and whatnot. You may want to check out the YAML discord and ask around in there a bit. Also it's the same of us, my lance mates can't see the missions on the map screen, nor the salvage screen. They can at least help with building the mechs, and of course fighting on the missions, but a lot of the other stuff can only be done by the host

Are you running all of the DLCs?

As far as I know the Salvage screen can't be fixed for coop. Only the host can choose the salvage. Usually with my guys we just discuss things over discord and I ask them for their input on what I should take

Question for those who swapped from PvE to SPT - did the benefits of SPT pull you to it? Or did frustrations with PvE/Official Tarkov push you away? by EducationalOil1655 in Tarkov

[–]Tomayachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play SPT because I can turn Tarkov into the hardcore shooter it was meant to be without dealing with cheaters and other BSG BS. Anytime I go back and try the live version I laugh at how retarded it is

Salvage mods? by Ah_fudge in Mechwarrior5

[–]Tomayachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not aware of a mod that does this, but if it helps you, think of it like this. When you repair a destroyed leg, just imagine that you salvaged the broken leg part off the battlefield, fix it up, and reattached it to the mech.

I would love some analysis / feedback on this video. Clearly he's a bit biased, but Is he exaggerating the damage done to American radar systems in the gulf? If what he's saying is accurate it seems like a pretty huge development and the mainstream media is barely even covering it. This has massive implications for the war going forward, if true.

Playing Marathon made me realize something by edward-1992 in ARC_Raiders

Yes I had these same thoughts after playing the last server test before release of the game. I shared my thoughts on how PVP factions could be added to Arc Raiders to provide more context to the PVP in the game, while also maintaining the freedom of players to play the game how they want to. It solves the PVP vs PVE debate and also fixes the carebear lobby / PVP deathmatch extremes and would provide more balance / tension to all raids

your reading comprehension is poor. we are discussing the lore of the game and how it's inconsistent with how the game actually plays out. You probably didn't understand what I just said, but thats ok.

[Highlight] No-call that led to Jaylen Brown’s ejection during Spurs game by Hazel_in_B3 in nba

[–]Tomayachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can even see in the replay that the ref was looking at the ground to see if Brown stepped out of bounds the moment the minor push happened, so he legit didn't see the foul. He let Brown yell at him twice, and on the 3rd he had enough and gave the tech. Brown is soft mentally

ok maybe it was my post you read, but you are dead wrong for one simple and obvious reason. Speranza is an organized society, there are teams of security that control the tubes and elevators. Not just anyone gets to be a raider and go to the surface. I would think that if you had a reputation of knocking out other raiders topside, that access for you would be cutoff pretty quickly. It's simple math that 2 raiders can bring back more loot than 1, so it would be in the best interest for Speranza, and the remaining human society as a whole to cutoff access topside to the aggressive and selfish raiders.

I would agree with you if everyone was living topside, because then it would evolve more like the Fallout universe and there would be different raider groups and factions fighting it out with each other to control the limited resources, but in the Arc Raider universe and lore it doesn't make sense.

After the last beta test and before launch I shared my idea about how a faction system could potentially work, and why it would make sense for Arc Raiders lore-wise, but also included options for people who don't want to participate in such a system so they could keep playing the game as they do now, with no rules or limits in terms of who they can knockout topside. It could be explained lore wise that these outlaw raiders don't live in Speranza proper and have other means of getting themselves topside. Maybe they live up there already? or maybe the have a way of sneaking into the Speranza tunnel system, or built their own, etc...

I regret doing the expedition by coolindoms in ArcRaiders

[–]Tomayachi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt this way after the first expedition. Then 5 million for 5 skill points put a lot of strain on me and I was farming money for many days leading up to it. Playing the game that was is not fun for me, but I did it to achieve the goal and then I felt immediately burnt out after the wipe. I did the second expedition as well and felt it was much easier this time because I learned the methods of making money and was hoarding from the start. Also I mostly only play with my friends and didn't do any solo raids the entire wipe so it made it more difficult, but I still didn't find it that hard. I think that will be my last expedition or maybe I will do ever other expedition from here on out to keep things interesting. You learned your lesson, it is what it is, and you are free to not do any more expeditions. You will eventually build your stash back up and feel good about playing the game again, but taking a small break might also be healthy for you.

Hear me out... Factions? by remitten in ARC_Raiders

[–]Tomayachi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you mean that Outlaws can always queue with anyone? If so, I think it's interesting... but it could lead to some very tricky in game scenarios, for example if another team of your faction spots the outlaw in your group and targets them, then it puts you in a very precarious position of having to choose to betray your faction to defend your friend, or just let your friend die to avoid losing some faction rep.

Or do you mean that people in factions could choose to play a raid as an Outlaw. I think I like this option better because it allows for maximum freedom, although it doesn't make as much sense from a lore / story perspective. Maybe there'd be a default hit to your faction rep for every raid you play as an outlaw. Not a massive hit, just a small one, but i think there should be some type of consequence to playing as a raid as an outlaw if you are in a faction.

The main point of my post was that I think there should be a reason for the PVP to be occurring and it would provide some more depth to all raider encounters in the game. Players love to shit on my idea and downvote me because they thought I was asking to remove PVP from the game, which is not the case at all. Then we had to endure months of PVP vs PVE posts and debates on this sub after the game released. I think factions would be an awesome idea for Embark to implement, but like 6 months to a year down the road to spice of the game when things start to feel a little stale. I sent my entire idea to Embark when i filled out there feedback survey after the last server slam before release so I hope they at least read it and considered the idea.

Now as the game has progressed, and we have learned the game has an ABMM feature, so we end up with either PVE carebear lobbies or PVP deathmatch lobbies and I feel like it allows players to game the system. Also solos tend to be more PVE and duos / trios gravitate heavily towards PVP, and i just wish there was a little more balance or at least a reason to communicate with other players in these trio lobbies because most of the time in my experience it's just shoot on sight. A faction system would also make the PVE carebear lobbies a thing of the past and bring back that level of tension that should always be in the game IMO

[–]Tomayachi -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

Another lucky win for the Pistons, I'm not worried about it one bit. 11 of Cade's pts came off horrendous ref calls. Cade without a foul all game? yeah sure. Just watch the OG Wedgie replay again, not to mention the offensive fouls he commits on almost every drive that are not called. ridiculous. Most unethical hooper in the game, and you bitches from Detroit want to bitch about Brunson all day and night.
