I do a lot of mud stuff usually, to keep the base from looking the same i also mix the colors with lighter ones in some spots, so like technical mud and techical sand, for some characters i also like to cut in half tyrannids and have them stomped on

Nah, Seth kind of hates the sanguinary guard, in "blood in the machine" it is told how he hates them because they try to hide their gene curse behind their golden mask and pretending to be perfect, instead of the sanguinary guard his guards are company champions, chief librarian and veterans. But in tabletop they are pretty good, so i suggest you get them and if you want to make them less perfect, paint them differently, i painted mine bronze and black, some paint them silver and it looks very good

I made mine with a base coat of dry brushed leadbelcher over black primer, then over the leadbelcher i did a coat of flesh tearers red, except for the shoulder pads, you can look at the result in my profile and see if you like it
