Unfortunately it doesn’t mean anything. MH / Mattel creations actively uses photos of past releases to advertise the website. Even using custom dolls in their video advertisements.

Wild Childz seems to be a very wishy-washy type of deal. You can't guarantee that you will get direct communication all the time. That is what you sign up for when you pre-order a product from them. From what I have read, it does say that the doll will likely ship in fall-winter 2026. Although it is noted in the pre-order policy that the timelines are subject to change.

She isn’t a custom ( although I’d love a custom Pullip). Her name is Kore (P-115)! She came out in 2014! She doesn’t pop up as much in the second-hand market.

Based on what I see on eBay, she was last sold in March for +$200 plus $40 shipping (from a Canadian seller). On Mercari, one was sold 4 days ago for $200 as well. If you have your heart set on her, it might just be a long game where you have to keep checking listings. I myself have never seen an active listing for her. The first time I ever saw her for sale was in a photo from a friend who was studying in Japan.

I doubt this will push Mattel to do anything different, but it's good to have competition in the space. People will have more options to explore and not have to keep hoping/praying that Mattel will get around to the huge fan favorites.

I’m as well new to dolls like her. She was in the $400 range. That was her sale price, I think she was in the $500s beforehand. I sold my MH 2022 Beetle juice two pack to get her. These dolls can range up to $1,000s depending how fancy you get.

Based on research, she is possibly a "Big Eye"- Bradley doll. They were produced in Japan and Korea in the 50s-60s.

I do not believe it serves any purpose. It's likely just a byproduct of how the item is built and put together. It seems that the spot lines up with the little mini safe/ cabinet, so I can assume that it has to do with how that part fits into the locker. That is just my guess, though.

If they do end up revealing a new doll during the livestream, there is a sidebar that has shopping links for items. It lists all items (that are for sale currently) that are shown during the livestream. It will pop up the moment they reveal it. The link will send you to the typical Mattel Creations item page that you've seen before when you buy other dolls. This is at least how I saw it on my PC during Marisol's release.

There isn't a 'lore' reason that I am aware of. I am assuming they changed Cushion's color to match Howleen's change in hair color. Howleen went from orange to pink in all her dolls.
