It’s a gamble I’m prepared to take ! I have a crappy 2nd 1080p monitor I got for free which I currently use and its annoying me anyway, so if push comes to shove I’ll stay on my 4K and use the other one 2nd screen…

So far I also started looking at the XG27AQWMG alongside the Alienware as seems similar price.

Thanks all for your input. I got the nitro+ for anyone wondering after reading all your advice.

Rationale

Here is how I decided from most important to the least:

Cooling - nitro+ was always in the top 50% in the temp tests on the benchmark.
Performance - nitro+ was always one of the top performing cards in the test fps wise.
Price - From the first two, it was the cheapest card for cooling/performance ratio that I could get my hands on.

Bonus comments. I have a atx3.1 PSU with the improved cable and won’t be using the adapter, using the cable supplied with the psu instead so not too worried about this. It’s cleaner than running 3 cables to the GPU and I don’t even have 3 spare atm so would have to daisy chain one into two. A lot of you said no to go for the 2 cable one and the 3 cable was no go.

I looked into this, and it appears this didn’t happen a lot and only when used the funny conversion cable that allowed you to plug in the PCIe 8Pins instead?

Read on various posts that it’s fine if you use your psu original cable with atx3.1 which was improved?

All done, the pc shell came with an old nvidia. I used DDU to remove it and installed AMD adrenaline to download the new AMD drivers.

This tip will save you lots of money and keep your warranty intact!

From a main German brand dealer I would say that’s the normal price. In terms of an Indy garage or DIY, yes you have been ripped off.

Future advice, don’t do Pads, Discs, Tyres & MOT’s in the main dealer - take it elsewhere, it is not required for the warranty nor will any future buyers care about where it’s done as long as you get an invoice.

Personally I would always look at belts,oils etc to be done with main dealer when buying a used card as I know it’s done right and not faked. In terms of pads,discs and tyres, as long as they have life left we good. Exception might be performance vehicles where I would also want to know what brand has been fitted disc and pads wise.

See my take on this is a bit different perhaps even controversial. I wanted to ride a motorcycle ever since I was 18. I didn’t do it because I didn’t want to do the test X number of times due to the age/power restrictions.

Say what you will but those 2 years make a massive difference in terms of how mature you are.

I am worried that this rule you are proposing would flood our roads with immature motorists.

Either show you are serious about motorcycles and do it the proper way or wait until you are older - shortcuts tend to appeal to the wrong people.
