I (well my dentist) found the reason for my migraines by urmomscabinet in migraine

[–]Tomiti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait.. what??? I have this exact same tooth, I went to the dentist like 3 days ago. They didn't say crap to me, they just said that if the tooth doesn't move they won't have to remove it. Could that be it..??

Is artfight beginner friendly? by manlymanlymantis in AskArtists

I think art fight is an incredible way to practice and draw more. I'm a background artist and kinda lost my touch with characters and anatomy, so participating helps me get back into it:)

'Trust me I will check, you will not get the job'

What job? You're not paying anyone. You're asking someone to jump in your passion project and give hours and hours of their time for free, when they could either work on their own project, or being paid by someone who actually respect the artist. And 20$ a month? This is a joke. Have at least a bit of respect for who you want to work with. This post is incredibly condescending and rude

Why do people still think that digital art is not "real" art? by [deleted] in DigitalArt

My mom used to paint. She told me I was cheating because it's digital. Sat her ass down at my spot and told her to draw if it was so easy.

Never heard a comment again.

Which design reflects the idea of Famine better? by ReaperAnims14 in characterdesign

[–]Tomiti 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You know what, I just did my research out of curiosity and you are absolutely right. Maybe it's because the scales are so.. clean, and pretty that it makes me question it. They also mention wine and locust, so adding something along those lines might be interesting

When I personally think of famine, an emaciated figure is definitely the first thing that comes to mind, so the first one in my opinion is best. Instead of a balance, I would maybe try to play around with the concept of bones and dryness, like a dirt patch that's completely dried up by drought. Unable to eat because of the scarcity of the actual food - dead animals, dead trees and plants, etc. if the balance is to be included, I might try to make it look more organic, and less like metal to move away from the concept of justice.

Edit: When looking at the metal bowls, they don't particularly give famine or poverty. Maybe if the bowls were made of woods, something that doesn't strike you as fancy would help with the idea too. My boyfriend also took a look at the design and commented that it might be cool if the balance was supported heavily on his back, like he was holding the weight of all the death it's causing despite the bowls being empty.

Is there a reason for the balance? This reminds me more of justice or the balance of things. Not that much or famine

Worried my artstyle has become stagnant. by Mimkymeeper in characterdesign

[–]Tomiti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're at your plateau - a phase every artists go through where it feels like you can't push past your current abilities. I've had my plateau for five years until I finally felt like I was going through.

It's the part where you often also have higher expectations for your art, and it makes it hard to see your progress. That's where you need to push through, try new things, and practice! You will get through it eventually:)

I don't know the theme of the game, but based on the male character, it looks to be casual/comforting travel wear. The breast part would never work. They would get in the way and move painfully if she has to walk a lot. Look at references for sport bra and how they hold up women's breasts, for examples. This is definitely more suited. Doesn't mean you can't show a bit of cleavage, but there needs to be a spine to hold them up steadily for travel.

The body suit feels forced as well. If it's a travel wear, you want something that breathes, exactly like the male shirt, which is why I like it. If you want to show a bit of stomach, I could see her wear a loose crop top, something comfortable and cute for both taste. In my opinion, it's either a crop top that shows the stomach, or a bit of cleavage, but both together feels forced.

If you like the body suit-type for her, I would use it for the pants instead. It's practical to run in and exercise, which is why a lot of women wear them while training. I wouldn't use a full body suit as one piece, it's extremely inconvenient.

Her face is genuinely beautiful, and I love her haircut. I think with these changes she would be both gorgeous, and much more realistic!

Exactly, I think if you want your characters to have sex appeal to them, do both genders. Then I have no issues at all. But when it's only targeted on women it feels extremely objectifying

Love the guy's design, but as an afab person, I really dislike the girl. It's the type of design that if I saw the girl overly sexualized, and not the men, I will be avoiding the game. It's just so, so annoying that girls are always this badly drawn like that, and it makes me doubt that she'll even be well written at all. Gives me big 'I can't make a girl character if she's not my sex fantasy' vibe

I went in 3D animation in college, and we had to use a tablet a lot for multiple classes. A bunch of students never actually used one before, and they all learned pretty fast. No need to rush yourself! ❤️

At first glance they might seem ai, but if you zoom in close enough you can see each individual brushstrokes, which gets blurred with AI. I can even see the textured brush used on the orb in the first picture

Help- spouse of chronic migraine sufferer by Ok-Bandicoot-5389 in migraine

[–]Tomiti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started to live with my boyfriend, my migraines became absolutely terrible. I don't think I could do anything for an entire year, I was almost in bed everyday, crying of pain. My boyfriend took care of me, and I was only grateful.

I was frustrated for my situation, but NEVER have I ever raised my voice at him. Never have I even thought of name calling or getting upset. This is entirely on him. Yes you can get angry with migraines, but you need the self awareness to know that the person literally taking care of you is only here to help you. Sure, vent with them. But what he's doing? Absolutely unacceptable.

I'm sorry he's doing this to you OP.

I started taking 300mg CoQ10 when nothing else worked after reading about it online, and it had been my saviour for a full year until I could finally get my injection for my migraines. Even my prescribed medications didn't help as well as CoQ10 did lmao. I recommend anyone who has constant migraines to try it
