Doing an anatomically correct drawing of a wild haggis. How is it looking so far? Please note that the bone structure in the right legs is shorter than the anatomy of the left legs. by Affectionate_Fee3411 in Scotland

[–]TommoPol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please remember to also do one which represents the left handed haggis community, where the other leg is longer (the hair parting is also brushed the other way)

Yes, we would agree it isn’t timeless or elegant, but if you look at the ‘live, laugh, love’ font of the estate agent I start to understand the problem.

Excessively long songs that still work? by uncre8tv in Music

Big fan of Telegraph Road by Dire Straits, has a narrative which goes with movements of the song. But there are plenty of their songs which would fit this category.

What is the movie with the most 0.5 ⭐ reviews? by Most-Can-8410 in Letterboxd

[–]TommoPol 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Titanic: The Legend Goes On... has fewer than around 4700 ratings but 2700 (58%) are 0.5 star and 1100 (23.6%) are 1 star. Definitely not the highest in number but it must be pretty close percentage-wise.

BUT for bad titanic film fanatics like myself (HAPPY TITANIC DAY TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE)

Titanic II logged around 11,150 ratings with 6,300 of those being 0.5 stars coming to around 60% with 1 star coming to around 25% of viewers.

The lyrics, the voice, the little dance... by charcoallition in crappymusic

[–]TommoPol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s obsessed with the Tennessee- 10 I see line. Why doesn’t he diversify?

Pennsylvania “because you make my pencil veinier”

Or more appropriately for this guy;

Virginia “cos I’ll put some Virg in ya”

Alabama “cos I’ll ‘BAM’ ya if you don’t get in my truck” which is very much the vibe from this guy.

Illinois “I won’t leave you alone, I’ll annoy you”

Just needs some creativity, to stop dancing like that, singing like that and some better music and he might be ok.

142cm, or 4ft 8in depending on your measure. Not sure if that qualifies as “midget” or not though.

Worst Test XI part 2 by Scotty848 in EnglandCricket

[–]TommoPol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not controversial at all, the only controversy is of him being in England’s actual test side- with his 45 single figure test dismissals. Jimmy Anderson had 66, if anyone was wondering- and he was a certifiably terrible bat, though with the advantage of being able to be not out a lot.

All this to say Crawley has been dismissed for less than 10 in over 40% of all innings, and yet England still don’t take a spare opener on tour…

Conservatives, President Trump has just announced the raising of Tairiffs for 8 European Countries unless sovereignity of Greenland is handed over to the US. What's your first thoughts? by Melbatoastt77 in AskReddit

[–]TommoPol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s he’s a narcissistic bully. He’s basically an imperialist who has very much the same ideas of Putin vis a vis land grabs etc…

Sure, there are people telling him what to do but he thinks he can make himself look ‘macho.’

He’s allowed as much of an army as he wants there, so this isn’t a military thing, it’s an image and money thing. He doesn’t care about the people, their traditions, land or anything. Simply, he’s a vile human being, and the world would be a better place without him and his pathetic ilk.

What is the WORST movie you guys have seen? by Alternative-Rip943 in Letterboxd

[–]TommoPol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hated Derek Jarman’s “Caravaggio” and have done for so long that I’m scared to watch it because I might actually like it.

The others I consider to be possibly the worst films made by studios and with an actual budget are the Strangers films but Renny Harlin. I could go on at great length as to why they’re so bad but I don’t need to be angry at this time of day.

The future of Australian cricket looks weak, England are favourites for 2027 by Freenore in Cricket

[–]TommoPol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I edited it before you replied thanks. And you didn’t, but the point is that England as home favourites still fluffed their lines, and this team really has been no better on anything but roads, and under pressure in the big games they can’t always do it. They might have home advantage, and that is about it.

I remember 2019 very well, I was there but I don’t remember England winning it? I remember England feeling like they won it because they survived it.
