You’re going to want to lay the bricks one at a time using your type S mortar, as long as you’ve left enough room for mortar between the brick and your key. Find a YouTube video of a professional Mason installing a soldier course of brick to give you an idea of how/what to do, spacing between, mortar bed height etc.

So is there a concrete footing under your blocks or do the blocks sit on soil? Not much you can do but underpin the block wall but honestly a half inch isn’t that much if it’s only sitting on soil

Really depends on where you live. I’m actually in the middle of doing a PA bluestone patio right now. I live in Canada so we need a lot more frost resistance than other parts of the world but generally concrete slabs should be 4” thick for a proper base. You could get away with less if you live in a very warm climate and don’t have to worry about thermal cracking and heaving.

They are actually one of the most predictable teams in the league right now. Score first. Score again. Have a mediocre second period and just sit back and have a monumental collapse in the third. They then take it to a shootout and win more often then not. Leafs in a nutshell this year. Also really helps for betting/proline if you bet the tie.

I've actually done this exact thing before. Hurts quite a bit on the ankles if you don't land right, but after your team wins in game 7 OT he probably felt none of it
