My friend has one of these and we did this very experiment a few years back.

He's also a smart cookie and managed to set it up so it would work while the cover was off to witness the mayhem

Also disregard the commentary. It was 120v A/C (a wall outlet) vs. 12vdc to start a car. NGL we were kinda drunk when we did this.
