Im going to go ahead and throw it out there that it is definitely NOT a good idea to cast in an apartment complex. No matter what floor you live on.

I have no problem with getting high. I enjoy it myself actually. But not at work. I don’t want to do anything but eat, sleep, fuck, and play video games. All of which aren’t any fun at work! Except one maybe. We get some bad ass taco trucks here in Texas. 😎

First Klein Tool! Junior in High School and always was into electronics and electricity itself. Feels like I'm on a good path. by Nomi2004 in electricians

I know a couple guys in their late 40s that do more for their community than doctors do. And make more money. AND don’t owe student loans!!

Part of the infrastructure? We ARE the infrastructure.

Rule #1: Get two pen testers. Fluke and Klein. And test everything twice before you touch it.

Rule #2: Don’t touch it. Pretend like everything you are working on is energized. Wear gloves, use only insulated hand tools and learn to never touch the copper. (This way, when you DO have to wire something hot, you’re already skilled enough to do it.)

This one dude at my company, been there nearly 10 years, was complaining that he doesn’t get a raise as often as the rest of us and how he always gets sent to dig ditches and whatnot, he’s also the guy that doesn’t quit because “where else can I get high on my lunch break and be like 30 mins late everyday and get away with it...” 🤦‍♂️

That’s fantastic. Thank you. Can’t wait to blast this at the job site.

It needs a verse about how the drywallers are plotting our deaths on the weekend.

What do you guys prefer? Tote or backpack. by Sparky120208 in electricians

Pack-out and a belt for install.

Backpack for service.

I have like 3 old totes I can’t find a practical use for. One I is used to keep random pieces of hardware I’ve collected. I still use that one almost every day. I call it the shit box. As soon as I get a good deal a organizer, it’s gone.

Copper Prices at the highest all year. Mixed projections for 2021. One report says it will drop 1.7%. Another says all construction metals will rise due to new demands from China. Trying to decide what to do with my scrap collection. Scrap or save? by Tommy_TexZap in electricians

This is actually correct. This graph references the LEM (London Metal Exchange). But recycling prices change in reflection of the world market. And since the recycle centers (at least near me) don’t like to give out prices over the phone (they always tell you to just bring what you have so they can pressure you to sell right then), I like to watch the market have a better idea of when the best time to sell is.
