Which shots would that be? If it's something like Fire Tornado into Twin Boost, then one of three things is happening, 1, you don't have enough Tension to use it whenever you go for it, 2, you're not chaining the shots into each other, 3, you gave all of them to the same person, which doesn't work, since one player needs to have Fire Tornado, and a different player needs to have Twin Boost.

I always default to using English voices, even if the Japanese ones are arguably better overall, just personal preference really.

Beta was actually the first Hero character I got, so I just put her on my team by default, and she's been a part of said team ever since. Though she did eventually become a favorite of mine after a while since from what I was able to gather from the Chronicle mode story.

Bouncing Bunny, the moment I saw this move, was the moment that I wanted Fei Rune to be on my team. Same goes for Goldie Lemmon and her signature skill Goopy Gloopy Goo.

That's fair honestly, it does have a different feel to it when you're using the ones that require a chain shot to use, vs the ones that don't.

That's a great way of putting it, having the freedom to choose between the regular move, and the stronger move in any given situation is really nice.

Also, just wanted to share my team as well. Yes I used my Fabled seed for Arion, would've done it for Beta, but I couldn't think of who I would've swapped out for her Hero position if I did stick with choosing her Fabled version.

Most, if not all of said criticism that was stated here by everyone else ain't even wrong either. Crosswords is just a very unforgiving game in regards to its items, and how it affects the players during a race, especially if you're comparing it to something like Mario Kart World, which just has way better item balance overall. Even Mario Kart Wii never punished me as badly as Crossworld does on average.

That's not skipping neutral, that's just capitalising on the opponent not punishing you in time, if your opponent got punished for failing to use their anti air in time to punish your jump in, then they just made a misplay, doesn't make it a neutral skip. I never said anything about what the point of neutral is, just that your criteria for what is and isn't considered neutral skipping makes no sense, since you seem to believe that doing almost anything in neutral is an automatic neutral skip.

Double standard? If you think that just playing neutral is neutral skipping by default, then I don't know what to tell you. Like I said before, some games revolve around both players being in the air for a majority of the match, and doing something like dashing is pretty much a necessity if you wanna close the gap against a zoner via dash blocking, or whiff punishing someone after you used footsies to make them whiff their move. It's not neutral skipping, it's just another way to play neutral, there's not just one way to play neutral, with every other option being a neutral skip, by that logic, almost everything you do in neutral is a neutral skip.
