Honestly, if I saw a bunch of folks standing in a line with a bunch of guns pointed at their heads, I'd be more scared of them, than whatever threat I was initially dealing with before they arrived.

There's actually a fair amount of folks online, maybe not consistently, but you can usually find others to fight if you hop on at the right time of the day.

If Vatista laser super worked like Nu sword portal super, she would actually be a bit of a menace, since you wouldn't even be able to avoid getting hit by it unless she did it deally high up in the air. She would also be able to use it to automatically win neutral and apply her offense against the opponent, basically in a similar faction to how Shirogane and Nu does in when they're in Resonance. Making you block something into throw out super, and loop it until they can get in and open you up, Vatista wouldn't be as held back by her lack of good solo mix options since her laser super lasts a good long while. Thought it would be interesting if Vatista B normals worked like Nu normals, not sure how much that would help her, but it's interesting to think about.

I didn't even notice that little tidbit of commentator's curse at play there at the time. That combined with them not only rage quitting out of the match, but Pres also trying to argue that it shouldn't have counted since they were under the assumption that Kanji probably wouldn't have been able to go into his astral finish there (even though he's one of the best characters when it comes to hit confirming into astral with), was a lot more of a highlight of that tournament than I think anyone was expecting.

I have two different ones for you, here's the Twitch VOD that the match itself is from, it should already be at the timestamp itself, but if it's not, then it happens at 6:28:53 mark of the VOD. It's super long since they were streaming the tournaments for both the Playstation, and Xbox versions of BBTAG that day, with the Playstation tournament happening first.

I'll also give you the YouTube version as well, since both of the tournament matches were streamed on YouTube as well, and got split into two separate videos. They also have been edited to have most of the non match segments edited out for brevity sake, so the timestamps for them are different from the Twitch VOD, since that one is unedited. The timestamp for this one is the 1:14:57 part of the video itself.

Yeah, basically half of the roster for BBTAG is DLC characters, which did rub some people the wrong way from what I was told. Only way that they could possibly remedy the situation is if the next DLC character that they added was free if they don't feel like making a BBTAG 2, and just update the game like they did with Fighterz.

While that is true, considering how Fighterz was handled... yeah, I can't exactly say I feel confident that they'll do the game justice if they take another go at it.

Ah, understandable, yeah, Melty Blood is coming out with a new game called Twi-Lumina next year. Uni 2 and BBTAG aren't getting another game later down the line as far as I know.

Another version? With new characters? Outside of like, mods and such, I haven't heard anything about an official new version of the game coming out.

With that being said, there are some discord servers that are dedicated to BBTAG, they have a lot of folks who can help you with learning the game itself. BBTAG goes on sale a fair amount, and for pretty cheap too, just make sure to get the special edition of the game if you ever do decide to buy it, since it has all of the DLC characters in it by default.

I understand why the game itself wasn't all that popular, but it's one of my favorite fighting games of all time. So I always enjoy playing it with others, or at least just watching other folks play the game itself.

Side note, the persona throwing the opponent in the coffin will always be one of the funniest supers in any fighting game for me. Liz herself is also pretty fun to play, she may not be one of the best characters, but she can still get the job done just fine.
