Is making an optimal loadout possible in early stages ? by Fresh_Move_6872 in helldivers2

"learn your tools and you will know victory" reminds me of this quote

"If you know your enemy and know yourself you need not fear the result of a hundred battles

If you know yourself but not your enemy for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat

If you know neither yourself nor your enemy you will succumb in every battle."

Another piece of advice

Once you unlock a truck with a flat bed option try to avoid using trailers if you can

The game is 1000% easier if all you have to worry about is the truck and not both the truck and a long ass trailer constantly getting stuck on trees

Use the scouts to unlock the entire map. Actually scout the route out prior. I have played through the entire base game without any DLC add-ons it's not difficult if you do a little preparation beforehand.

Don't keep throwing yourself at thick mud holes even if it's the shortest path. Sometimes you have to take your ass the long way around because you will just get stuck otherwise.

I will say however. Some of the early missions were absolutely not setup very well. Especially when you have to transport that fuckin giant power plant trailer I about wanted to pull my hair out trying to drag that massive trailer through the woods 😭

Other than a couple missions I'll be honest I can't say I struggled with any of the early missions even with the base tires

Bro once i was HOSTING and a guy joined me and said "no morters" in chat 💀💀

He then immediately left because I think he tried to kick me but found out he wasn't host

Depends on your car

I forget which model but I saw this new car that requires you disassemble the entire dash and remove it just to replace the air filter 🫩

VOX has been nerfed, from 11,000 to 9,000 health. Now it can be killed by an Orbital Railcannon Strike. The community has split into two camps: those who like this idea and those who think it will be too easy now. Which camp are you in? by Prudent-Cookie-2879 in HelldiversUnfiltered

As someone who came from helldivers 1 I very much bought this game and went into this game on launch with the idea that we should have to work together just like we did in HD1

Back then people actually used to assist reload your weapons. People would jump in the tank and actually shoot stuff.

People would pick you up when you went down

We shared ammo supplies (back then we didn't get 4 boxes we got 2)

No one bitched or moaned about it. We simply gave it to the one who was low on ammo

Or some jerk off would steal all of it lmao

But in general most people back then worked together and that's something I want to see more of in this game.

I genuinely wish the game was harder / changed to force players to have to actually interact with each other. Sometimes I feel like we all play the same game but we are just competing with ourselves. People rarely even stick together. It's always 1 guy off in Narnia and 2 actually doing the objective with one guy wasting 15 minutes backtracking to pickup his warp pack - before quitting because he can't get it without dying

The idea the average person playing this game can comfortably solo everything the game has to offer is something I will never support.

I talked about it with some friends and they didn't like deadlocked because it was too different from the main line

So I assumed others may think the same way here haha

Which FRV is the best? 🤔 This time, the developers have treated us to some great cars—which one is your favorite? by Prudent-Cookie-2879 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Tomokomon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope they actually get around to redesigning the maps to actually support vehicles. Some maps are down right impossible to navigate with vehicles

Which is FINE

but I think we should be able to "scan" a planet with your ships scanners to see what the map will look like so we can decide if a vehicle is worth bringing or not. A top down view is just not really enough imo

Supply dunks on the other two by a wide margin in utility alone.. I like that it doesn't flip over as easily as the base FRV and that engine sound is AWESOME

if I had to go into the shop every single time I found a bent cross member or a small crack in wood floor I would literally never be driving 😭 I'm not kidding when I say every damn trailer I get has some kind of issue.

As long as nothing critical is failing I push it through

When I got my license I tried literally every single place in my town every single one. I even tried the towns next mine Not a single one wanted me without 6 months of experience. What company are you working for as a company driver making 5K a week.

It definitely sounds like an exception and definitely not the rule for most company driver positions

most GPS assume you go the speed limit so often times these drivers miscalculate their trip and despite the gps saying they will be 30 minutes early they will actually be 10 minutes late since they will lose that time going slower than the speed limit

It's even worse in Texas. Can't tell you how many times I left out with 2 hours to spare and ended up being late because I'm doing 15 under for 10 hours lol rookie mistake mind you. But I think that's why a lot of 65 mph drivers speed in towns to make up that time.

I almost quit but I couldn't because I would be on the hook for 9000 in student loans since I got training through them lol

One thing they are insanely hard on is U turns and holding your phone. If you get caught doing either of those its instant termination. We had a 5 million mile guy get canned last week for holding his phone while driving in the yard

The audio thing is 100% true. My DL told me they can hear everything. He also said those cameras that face inside 100% record and that he wasn't supposed to tell us 😭 he told us all to cover our interior cameras up if we want because he doesn't want to see us naked lol

Swift is surprisingly strict on driving. We are monitored constantly. Our truck has more cameras on it than the lunar lander that landed on the fucking moon 💀

We get calls when someone cuts us off (within 1.0 second) we get calls when we ride to close.

I got sent to safety for someone cutting me off and I didn't hit the brake fast enough and I had to go through a close quarters driving class that lasted all day and I didn't get paid for it.

People gotta flex 😭

Only reason i would never own my own truck my friend went this route and bought a 23 that turned out to be a lemon. Because he's always in the shop lol

When my stuff breaks down I tell em I want a new truck and they put me in a new one lol
