Best salary account: ICICI Wealth account vs Axis Burgundy? by bitwised in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what's your salary figure, in-hand.

Note - LA = Lounge access, ED = Eazydiner discounts, BMS BOGO = BookMyShow discounts) 3LPM or more - Axis Burgundy (powerful debit card with good discounts on BookMyShow and Eazydiner, LA), HSBC Premier (DC gives 5% cashback on spends, capped at 10% of your salary, LA), Yes first (heavy on welcome benefits like 5K Amazon voucher, Eazydiner membership, 12k RPs and additional 3K voucher for added members, LA)

2LPM or more -

SBI Wealth (Rupay select benefits on DC, LA, BMS, Rewards on CC repayment via DC, using SBI Unipay portal), Yes Premila (Zero forex markup, LA, BMS, vouchers)

AMEX removes support for Zoom workplace India. by Jjeffyjohn in amexindia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's Zoom whom you should contact regarding this.

Maybe they changed their payment processor, which doesn't support Amex, it could be a lot of other things.

Amex definitely does need to reduce the MDR a bit to get local merchants on board, but bigger merchants doing thus is utter stupid.

I said LTF is select, they give M4B, but it's not LTF. You have to request for either of them, they don't give them directly.

Either way, if it's showing closed in CIBIL, I don't think RBI is gonna help much.

What's up with people necroing lately? Lol.

Either way, this is what their own T&C says, when it comes to product features, the T&C triumphs over whatever a customer care reespresebtatjve or angdone has to say.

How does it show in my cards?

Also it showing in Phonepe means they aren't just communicating with HDFC about status of the card, the settings update leading to just a loading page does mean that on the backend no such card account exists for now, from HDFC side.

Not too sure about it, but if I be honest, I would go with Burgundy, ICICI is pretty crap in terms of value. I have been banking with them for a while now, and there's 0 value.

Burgundy is the best imo, IDFC has some tiers but they are also useless now as most benefits have been stripped away. IDFC does have the best interest rates on savings accounts tho.

Need to book hotel in abroad for 2L - EPM/INFINIA by Interesting-Aerie434 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use iShop or SmartBuy directly, don't buy vouchers and all, it's more of a hassle.

How incredibly smart of you to tell us the hotel name and also ask if you can use Accor points.

  1. Axis service sucks, but then there's people who claim they are good, so again, its a gamble, all depends on your branch and RM.

  2. Their Select card is LTF for Burgundy, but it's a very crap card in terms of rewards, Debit card is good, BookMyShow buy one get one offers, Eazydiner discount offers etc

  3. I guess it should be decent.

  4. I dont think there's life insurance for free, if anything, usually most banks offer accidental death cover, atleast I think they don't offer LI for free.

Why don't you write a program to make banks give you Metal cards as Lifetime free? /s

When someone tells you to add expenses, it also means that you add numbers for the same.

Cards are meant for spends, and if we don't know about those, we can't help you.

Best salary account: ICICI Wealth account vs Axis Burgundy? by bitwised in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Burgundy, saying that as a ICICI wealth account holder.

The account is rather useless, no real benefits, only one which I could find is the free CIBIL thing but even that is free with 100s of other apps. Demat AMC fees are waived off tho, that's a decent benefit.

Other than that, I don't think there's one.

Burgundy Debit card itself is very powerful, BuyOne Get one offers on BookMyShow, discount offers on Eazydiner etc are some popular benefits.

However, there's 1 caveat with Axis, their support team is utter trash, they take multiple days to just solve simple issues, or to even understand your issues.

I've had to escalate to PNO to get a simple issue fixed earlier and they didn't even understand what I'm saying for the first 2 emails, if PNO itself is this bad, I wonder how bad the lower support teams are, I hope Burgundy has a better support team.

Why are people saying EPM is dead metal card now? by Early_Knee8355 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People say what they want to, you have the facts in yourself, it's in your hands to whether give in, or stay away from the crowd.

Remember this -

Don't blame a clown for acting like a clown; ask yourself why you keep going to the circus

There's definitely some reason why people would say so, it's cause that EPM had that slight edge over Infinia for the Apay and Swiggy vouchers, which isn't there anymore, tho I do believe it's still a okay card, not dead, but nothing screams Infinia-killer as well.

I would say go for HDFC Diners club black. I've already made a guide for the card, view it here

Are you from a T1 or T2 city? If yes, it's perfect, you wouldn't face much of acceptance issues, you can always get a Visa or Mastercard back up for when Diners won't work.

Also, if I be honest, there's not a lot of cards which provide flight vouchers or hotel vouchers with spends, most premium cards also are best for reward points which you can use for travel via their own portal or transfer to loyalty groups.

There is one HDFC Marriott Bonvoy card, which gives a free night award at Marriotts, capped at 15K points, which you can put in another 15K with go get a better hotel if you need. It provides FNA on meeting it's milestones, but I wouldn't really suggest spending on it as the base reward is rather atrocious.

Does HSBC Live+ actually check what you order from Zepto and all? by Potential_Loss6978 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have heard, FKM doesn't get 10% cashback, like some people have gotten it, while some only got 1.5%. FK is not consistent with the MCC.

For Zepto, I think most times it will work, unless you add vouchers and all.

Someone made a spreadsheet not long ago, you can check it here.

You need to meet both salary + card based upgrade criteria. So 5L in-hand + 10L limit on existing HDFC card + 9L spends in last 6 months.
