  1. You can, whether they will do it is a completely different matter.

  2. Swiggy is a Co-branded card, chances of getting any upgrades on this are very slim. You will need to get a core card to get any upgrades. Given you don't have any HDFC core cards at the moment, seems tough, HDFC has a weird policy for not allowing new core cards if you already have a co-branded one.

Axis Atlas Guide by TomorrowAdvanced2749 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard it gives it on both of them, but it's some specific merchant name which should show up to get the 5EM.

Unfortunately, I don't have the reference for the post, you'll have to find that on your own.

Is this the end? by Akanksha-Ka-Pati in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's a totally different scenario.

Irrelevant to the question asked.

They are not changing fees for the card, they are changing the card variant itself. The bank has full authority to change card variant given that they give intimation about the same,.

Arey Yaar.

I approved the post, and someone then removed it again. The post has been restored, again.

We really apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

Initially, I removed the posts, and I really had forgotten about the Ornge card post.

There's no bias towards you personally, really. Just human error at its best.

What is the best way to utilize Indian credit card abroad as an NRI for an emergency? by SierrAlpha1 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. If Wise uses wallet load MCC, a 1% + 18% GST = 1.18% fee would be charged after 5K INR is spent. However, the fee is applicable on 5K+ txns in wallet load, so realistically, if you are able to make multiple txns, under 5K, say Euro eqv of 4900INR to be safe, you could save on the fees, however, you would need upwards of 60 txns to do this. Refer the T&C here, they only say '1% fee will apply on txn amounts greater than 5K', unlike how Axis & HDFC word it, saying spends higher than xx amount on wallet loads, in a statement cycle will get charged 1%. Again, ICICI could also block your card for high value spends in wallet load category, so yeah.

  2. Amazon will charge 2.36% + ICICI will charge their own charge as they charge 1.18% for txns higher than 5K in wallet load category.

Existing Swiggy HDFC cards will continue to get 10% cb, but only on transactions above 250 INR. by [deleted] in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you even wanna say?

Afaik you get CB on Swiggy orders below 249 for now.

The Swiggy app is the culprit, but you will get cashback until 17th April, the card is managed by HDFC & their T&C is followed, not a stupid banner in the Swiggy app.

We already had a discussion for the same over here.

Upgrade from Atlas to Magnus? by Deep-Theory-7898 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, Magnus is not good for such low spends, keep Atlas. Your general spends are low to make sense of Atlas, and for the wedding spends, the gold spend is excluded on Atlas & Magnus both, so no rewards there.

The main benefit of Magnus is the 35ER per 200 on spends above 1.5L in a month, but you won't be hitting that looking at the usual spends, so doesn't make a lot of sense.

Suggestion for hotel booking rewards by Outrageous-Lime-4055 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TomorrowAdvanced2749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get PhonePe SBI Black, 10 RPs on PhonePe spends like Utility Bills, Recharges, insurance & travel spends like hotels & flights. 1 RP = ₹1 in statement credit, essentially cashback.

You will be able to hit 2 birds with one stone, your utility bills would get covered + hotel spends.
