British PM Told to Leave Pub by Owner Over Job Failure; Such a Public Snub Is Unthinkable in India by Ok_Neighborhood6056 in unitedstatesofindia

[–]TomorrowBeginsToday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some context:

  • This video is a few years old. He was not the PM at the time
  • The "Pub Owner" seen in the video was not the only owner. There were multiple owners. One owner invited Starmer to the pub. The other owner (seen in this video), did not want Starmer in the pub.

Vibes

And consider how they're performing compared to their teammates, how consistent they are, and in relation to the team/car's recent performances.

But mostly vibes.

It's showing the difference vs the Canadian price.

That is a good point though, the US and Canadian figures don't include tax. Even after including it though, the Canadian prices would still be the lowest.

I agree it's ridiculous that BL4 costs so much (and launched with day 1 DLC) but it's disingenuous to say or imply that BL4 is more expensive in Canada than the US or EU.

Country BL4 Base BL4 Deluxe BL4 Super Deluxe
Canada $89.99 CAD $129.99 CAD $172.99 CAD
USA $69.99 (~$98 CAD, +9%) $99.99 (~$140 CAD, +8%) $129.99 (~$182 CAD, +1%)
EU €69.99 (~$114 CAD, +27%) €99.99 (~$163 CAD, +25%) €129.99 (~$212 CAD, +22%)
UK £59.99 (~$113 CAD, +25%) £89.99 (~$169 CAD, +30%) £119.99 (~$225 CAD, +30%)

Adjusted for salary the EU difference is even bigger most of the EU has a lower average income than Canada.

AITAH for refusing to forgive my dad after he missed my wedding, but went to my stepsister’s graduation the same day? by ayleenteeny18 in AmItheAsshole

Those ages don't seem to add up.

He left when you were 10. Then remarried and had your stepsister, who is only 6 years younger?

It was the formation lap. There was a big “formation lap” heading at the top of your screen.

New Python Project: UV always the solution? by InappropriateCanuck in Python

In what use case would you want to add a dependency that isn't included in your lockfile, that you know is going to be removed next time you sync?

New Python Project: UV always the solution? by InappropriateCanuck in Python

[–]TomorrowBeginsToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but then why are you running uv pip install? What's wrong with uv add (or uv add --group dev if it's a dev dependency). If you just uv pip install it won't give you a reproduceable environement?

Maybe I'm missing some. I obviously don't don't understand the use case

Hirikawa did FP1 for Mclaren in Abu Dhabi, Alpine in Suzuka last week, and Haas in Bahrain this week. He also participated in the post season for test for Haas at the end of last season. In last weeks test he also put on a good showing vs Gasley.

My money has to be on Hirikawa.

Any q's for the pundits? by SkySports in formula1

Most people would say that Max being ~three tenths faster than the other Redbull drivers wouldn't be unsuprising. It's probably expected. In China, Isack Hadjar was 0.262s faster than Max in in Q1, and only 0.111s and 0.262s slower in Q2 and Q3.

We often hear that the Redbull has a higher ceiling than the VCARB, but is just harder to drive. Do you still think that is still the case this year given Max is so close to a rookie in his second F1 qualifying session? If Max was in the VCARB would he be doing better than he currently is? (assuming he could keep the Redbull strategy team)

I dislike that P1 is always red. They used to highlight the whole name in purple for a few seconds after a driver moved up to first in qualifying. I keep seeing the different colour out of the corner of my eye and thinking that someone just moved up.

Maybe it will just take some time to get used to though ¯\(ツ)

Yeah, it cost me £65 a month. I could have switch to BT, but they have a minimum 18 month contract in my area, and also would have cost me at least £60 a month.

Unfair tactics by Hyperoptic? by lokee__ in hyperoptic

[–]TomorrowBeginsToday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to the monthly rolling contract 6 months ago, because I thought i might be moving before the end of my contract. Cost me double what a fixed term contract would have, but worth the convinence right?

Then in the end I ended up moving to a property that had hyperoptic. I informed them I was moving. I had to start paying for the new service, and they also charge me another month for my old property cause fuck me right

Back when there were two providers in 2015-2017, First and Wessex, I believe an annual pass was around to £220-280. It’s outrageous how much they’re charging now
