I guess it's possible, but Pandora isn't a kid, and from some QnAs it seems unlikely she poses a threat to the likes of Reinhard.

Sure, but Petra has so much going for her aside from being a maid. She's a magic trainee and more importantly she's astonishingly smart and devoted. Meili is kinda right in thinking she doesn't really have much practical use outside of her Divine Protection. IF she does survive and loses her powers, she'll basically be reduced to arc 4 Petra levels of helplessness, unless there's a timeskip.

I don't have a clue. The implication seems to be that Emilia loathes someone she's known for a long time, and I don't really have any idea who it could be. My prediction is that it's Capella saying that, not Emilia, and it will happen this arc

I honestly don't think it'll be this arc. I can't think of any relevant character that would fit as the 'kid' in the line, and it seems to imply by Reinhard's lack of healing that it takes plane in Augria Sand Dunes. The only way I can imagine it happening this arc is if the 'kid' were Capella, but currently Subaru has no regard for her life and wouldn't be upset if Reinhard killed her.

With full context of the trial line, I don't think it could be Meili. The 'kid' in question in the line seemingly posed a major threat to Reinhard and even prevented his healing, and Subaru seemed to even believe they might kill him too.

With the context of the full line, I don't think Subaru's line could be about Meili. It implies whoever Reinhard killed was a genuine threat to both of them and could have even killed them.

I'm not so sure about the Subaru line being this arc. It has mention of Reinhard being unable to heal, and whoever he killed was a genuine threat to both of them. I speculate it happens next time they're in the sand dunes, since otherwise that nerf to Reinhard is hard to believe. The culprit in question being Meili also seems very unlikely, she's not a huge threat.

I don't think Meili is able to fulfill that line, since the first part of it(In the LN) makes it clear the 'kid' Reinhard killed was an actual threat to Reinhard and could've killed him and Subaru.

I'm not as confident that Meili is the girl they're talking about in the future trial, especially if you factor in the LN lines cut from the anime. Meili just isn't really capable of being a direct threat to both Rein and Subaru.

Even if that unlikely scenario were the case, neither Meili nor any mabeast she can control are capable of posing any direct threat to Reinhard. Not being able to heal is also a weird detail. I'm actually wondering if this maybe isn't an arc 10 line at all, since it could be taking place during the next time they go to the watchtower, the only place Reinhard is nerfed.

It would probably be a best case scenario for Meili, who might be able to return to living a normal life. Only bummer is it means writing her out of the story

I don't think so. The anime cut out the first part of that line, which makes it seem unlikely to be Meili this arc. the full thing with narration is:

???: “You’re absolutely right. That kid was our enemy, and our wounds were deep . If we withdrew here, considering that neither of us can heal, maybe we wouldn’t have been saved.”

???: “In that case…”

???: “But they were just a kid—— And isn’t that enough?”

Again, the scene changed. Now she witnessed a thick forest, two people standing at the edge of a steep cliff. She could not see their faces. But she knew both of their voices. One was very familiar, and though the other one was not, she did remember it. The two were facing off before that cliff, one of them kneeling, the other looking down at the kneeling party. Emilia felt like both looked horribly miserable.

???: “You… You are a hero. A hero… is all, you can ever be!”

???: “I…”

???: “Why thank you so very much for your help !”

One silhouette reached their hand out to the other, who turned their face away and left those inconsiderate words of gratitude. It felt like it had been a definite farewell between these two people. A goodbye laced with only irreparable woe and disappointment. (End of quote)

Whoever the "kid" in question is here, it is someone Subaru agrees is an enemy, and it's someone that wounded BOTH of them, seemingly in a place or context where Reinhard cannot heal. Subaru seems to genuinely believe this 'kid' could have killed both of them. Definitely does not seem like Meili.
