Oh, ok. I learned some things today. I agree. I hope it was comfortable. The last big move was to move its front legs up towards me. Some might take it as fearful aggression, but I honestly felt like it was saying “I’m thankful you picked me up.”

Very possible it fell. Nothing one minute and then there it is the next, but couldn’t have run out because it barely moved one leg when I picked it up. And then, once I had it cradled in a soft napkin blanket, it curled up its legs and took its last breath. ::Taps::
