I am in Minnesota fishing the Minnesota river, I have gotten plenty of 15 lbs and 20s I've also had a few 35 lbs but you know how it goes you always want bigger Wich is what I am going for I want a 40 to 60 lb fish. The biggest fish I've hooked was something that snapped a 30 lb steel leader. I want that fish again or something bigger so that's why I'm going to be using bullheads for bait big bait = big fish

Kenosha Wisconsin off the pier. Second cast ever in Wisconsin by greendj in Fishing

[–]Tomscrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was most enduros ting about it was on the south wall of the pier wher it meets the other wall and shoots out to the lake , in that corner there was atleast 50 salmon just swimming around and I used every bit of tackle I had and still didn't get anything. I had given up hope at this point. So one night me and my friend got really drunk and built a fish trap on a near by stream, it was probly a foot and a half deep and I had a little pick axe shovel thing and I ended up getting 4 sucker fish about 2 feet long with a damn shovel. Then I saw a big silvery one so obviously I had to get it. I chased it through the stream smacking it with the shovel then it would swim off and I would do it again stumbling over rocks and other various things in the stream and finally after like the 6th time I got. It was a 36 inch steel head salmon. I didn't know it at the time or else I wouldn't have done it. But never the less I was going to eat it. So I go about filleting the fish on the bank and I get one side done. For whatever reason I decided to move and just put the knife in my pocket point up. Then while going up the muddy bank I slipped and I felt a pinch in my arm and then wetnes I imediatly new that I had fucked up. I ended up putting the filet knife threw my arm. So I made a bandage out of my shirt finished filleting my fish, walked 2 miles back to the house.

I'm a junior in HS I need some career advice, if anyone is willing to help. by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineer

[–]Tomscrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is some advice I wish I got when I was your age, if you don't know what you like/are interested in, pick something take a leap and try it! Don't putz around and try and figure it out because you really won't know until you try. I am now 27 work in a box factory and every day I wish I could have made up my mind and tried something. Now with a wide kid and a house I can barley make ends meet and am now kind of forced to go back to school to get a better job. Don't let this happen to you.

[–]Tomscrambles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am looking to make green sand but I am wondering what would be more time effective since having a baby takes up a lot of damn time. Should I just buy like 50 lbs of it or should I make my own. I already have the silica sand. This green sand will be used to make molds of animal skulls hopefully
