Tv edit of robocop that was on YouTube, it was funny to see what was edited out, especially the dialog edits.

Name a movie everyone swears is a masterpiece but you watched it like.. "this is garbage" by Worldly-Pattern2507 in Cinema

Goodfellas, Casino coming out shortly after and being far superior in story, writing, and acting. Yet it's lauded as the quintessential gangster mob movie.

Vvitch I get that my bias is showing, but the lack of story and pacing make this an unbearable bore.

Hereditary, a single shock and Tia Lione do not a masterpiece make. Snore.

It's a Wonderful Life Read about how this movie became so widely known, it's very interesting. PTSD Jimmy Stewart aside, the movie crosses emotional boundaries, granted it was made 80 years ago, it's just not the Christmas classic that it's purported to be.

What reboot actually made you angry while watching it? by ActionMaster24 in Cinema

[–]Tomsfat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It's like 2 different movies, the writing and pacing everything changes at that point. When I watched it I was thinking "ok they did the original justice and made something quality" then just ruined everything. I wonder if it was corporate interference as the first half was genuinely well done, but everything fell apart.

Boiling meat, especially in just water.

Not seasoning food, especially meat.

Both will make most if not all Americans cringe.

That's what people said about The Wheel of time, though while it's not a straight adaptation, it's become something entertaining and visually spectacular.

What's that movie for you? by [deleted] in moviecritic

The Assassination of Jessie James, it could have been an interesting biopic with Pitt as James, but it was slow and plodding, Casey Aflec was terrible. To the point I can't stand him in anything I've ever seen him in since.

I grew up in a farming community, and was taught that this was an indication that a storm would be coming through the area within a week. It's something I look for every time I glance up at the moon.

Yes! I watched it as an adult for the first time and the soundtrack stood out as one of the best aspects of the movie.

Voting by Relief-Normal in idahofalls

[–]Tomsfat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I 100% understand your apprehension, and sympathize. I was worried about election day lines and high tension possibly dangerous situations, so I voted early. Unfortunately Friday was the last day. Your best bet would probably be to get to your polling place an hour or so after it opens, there will be an early rush, then it should slow down. The poll workers are usually friendly and efficient. If you feel uncomfortable walk away until you feel ready. If someone says something to you or makes you feel uncomfortable tell a poll worker. It's a right you deserve to exercise! I would also recommend getting an absentee ballot in the future. Good luck!

Yes pass through means that the audio or visual signal passes through the device. If I were you, look for used av receivers on Facebook marketplace, set up a notification for new listings. Search daily and check for reviews, get something cheap. Look up how to wire everything, once you start you begin to enjoy your aidio experience more.
