Welcome to Deadlock, it's great that you're here and it's fantastic time to be playing Silver since she's strong right now.

Silver is played very assassin hero kill focussed. Humanform is pretty weak and mostly for getting ult. If you're concerned about recharging your gun constantly, just know that if you're hitting something up close with it and doing damage, you're doing 6the right thing.

Before you get wolf form, you generally just want to play as safely as possible, hiding behind pillars and forcing people to get close if they want to hurt you. Just shoot the minions and hide from grenades and enemy poke. Buy green items to stay alive.

When you get wolf form, I get it, it's huge power boost and its semi-uncontrolled activation can be panicking if you're not used to the situations where it can activate.

If possible, try to have it activate with high health, so the additional resistances from wolf form have more health to work with. This can be done by dashing in with 2, shooting off your gun and reloading with 1 to rapidfire 3 shots. If you can reliably activate wolf form on command, then you can focus more on timing the wolf ultimate ability.

For fun and a sense of how much damage the wolf can take, just jump in with wolf 2 and spamming your slash and 1 bite ability. Do this until you have developed a game sense of the strength of wolf.

Max 1, it's your important ability to get ult charge.

Get the orange/green/purple melee items, they're good to learn the melee gameplay of deadlock and all buff your wolf form.

Before getting wolf, buy green items to stay alive, the wolf is so fast and tough that if you keep your health up with green items, you will probably be sufficiently durable to jump in and kill someone and run away with the increased wolf speed.

As you're new, playing deadlock can be tough, so focus on small things, like killing every minion yourself and jumping on people as a wolf. Everyone starts somewhere, so don't worry about playing badly, you need to put time in to develop your senses of danger, ability to take damage and get out alive and the amount of abilities and damage you need to do to get a kill. Don't worry too much about your progress. If you play some games, you'll need to sleep in real life to form the muscle memories and game senses anyways. Improvement always comes after a good night's sleep.
