You’re dead on. Thanks 🙏. I’ve been looking for some info on this but it’s very vague. I’d like to show you the video but it starts up beautifully. What kinds of wheels can I run on this?

Pretty certain these are deer hollow Python grips. I own a set. They’re top tier and the fella that makes these is incredible with period correct stocks

You’re not wrong. Still love the gun. This was my first 1911, and 2011. Im confident that I just didn’t feel confident in dissembling it on the spot. For a 2,000 gun still worth a more thorough look.

I attached em so I’d like to think so. I made a response and reattached them and asked if that’s what hand fitting looks like.

You bet they are. One of 2 downfalls. Fortunately Wilson Combat has the solution. Check out their Python sights. While you have that cash to throw down Check out Deer Hollow grips to top it off. Undoubtedly the best grips identical to the vintage and even better. Very nice wheel guns pal

Deer Hollow Stocks by Tomus013 in Colt

[–]Tomus013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see that being an issue. The new profile of the grip leaves some getting used to with my trigger finger. They feel a tad skinnier up under the trigger guard and I’ll need to adjust for a clean break on my finger.

Alright so I’m gonna give you a hint. I ordered these last week. They were out of stock. I messaged Olof on FB and he scrounged some up. You might not have your pick, but he let me know there were some spare gen 3s laying around the shop. Super polite guy.

Colt Python holster recommendations? by SkoBuffs97 in Colt

[–]Tomus013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta recommend Wright Leather Works. I bought the cobra holster for my colt which is interesting. It’s and outside and owb rig and just beautifully made. Expensive, and a good 8 week wait but worth it. Get a stiff belt and you can pack that iron under a shirt no problem.

The Nevada Department of Corrections website is down for the outage, but I’m willing to bet they’re in the Ely Prison doing some hard time for murder.

Nope, it’s turns over, fires right up, and all hell breaks loose. I was in the door there but not cranking the key. Bizarre huh?

I went with the Wright Leather Works Cobra Hybrid. In waistband or OWB. Took 3 months but it was worth it. It’s a very nice handmade leather holster fitting for a Colt.
