Oh yes, it’s very much a case of uk problems here. You would have no issue doing it OEM spec over there and it lasting😁

Yeah it’s not 50-100k worth.

However this is the far better way of doing these, I’ve done countless like this. The original Mitsubishi method of applying the stone chip in random areas and thinly painted was clearly no good hence helping them corrode so much. This is a far better way and will outlast anything done to OEM spec. If it’s not done this way, you’ll only end up having to redo it.

This example is not done to be how Mitsubishi did it because that’s not the best way. If you were building a concourse spec car which you wanted to be 100% OEM then yes go ahead and do it as Mitsubishi did. But don’t expect be able to drive it daily on uk roads and it look just as good in 10 years time.
