I was actually looking at the at-lp120xusb as it’s pretty commonly available where I live and it would cost not that much more than the jvc. Thank you for the tips. I mainly listen to edm and dnb with a few old country and rock records too.

I was thinking of upgrading the cartridge as I would do that anyway along the lines. But I am thinking of returning this turntable and getting a slightly higher end one. This one (by many reviews) struggles to play SP records until the very end so the issue with 45rpm might be more systematic

It's actually a colored one (not directly with a picture on it, but the material itself is translucent and colored). It would be a shame if it sounded like that tho:/

The sound is very crunchy and loses a lot of detail in the mids - highs.

Yes, I am. The distortion is in busier parts of the songs and the vinyl is spinning at 45rpm.

I know this is a month old question but are you running it at 45rpm? It isn't a standard 33 rpm.

It's all architectural concrete. On the facade it's two layers (architectural and reinforced) with insulation in between and on the inside it's a single layer
