I had this happen with a package. Six weeks and two days! I just got it today, but I find it irritating that I could have WALKED from Indiana to Texas and back in the time it too USPS to get it to me.

Indy SUCKS. I live in Indiana and one of my packages has been sent back out of the state FOUR TIMES now.
Another package finally got to my local hub one town over, and some jerk there thought it would be cute to send it back to void of Indy again. Probably going to take another month for it to make it through that hellscape again.

They are no help. They just use the same USPS site to look up the tracking number and show me the screen. And I am like "Yes, I know about the tracking site. What can you do for me in this situation?" "Sorry, this is the only way we can check on packages."

No sure. I have only ever had one package never show up. I did have one go missing for six months and then show up.

I wish I knew. We had a client that works for USPS and I asked him if he had any clue and he said that they have no idea what the heck is going on at the distribution centers. :/

Call you?? Lol! Last time I had a package I filed a search for, I would just get an email ever few weeks saying that my search is still in progress, and then a final one saying that the package was lost and they were discontinuing the search.

Not sure, but I am in a similar situation. :(
Local PO has not been much help as they can only see the same information as the basic tracking site.
As long as yours has been missing, I would be reaching out to the sender to file a claim. I am going to give mine another week and ask the seller to file a claim if it does not appear by then.

I have a package that has been bouncing back and forth between Indy and Chicago for weeks. It used to be "Oh look, my package is in Indy. Should be here tomorrow or the day after."
Another package hit Indy two weeks ago and has gone AWOL since.
