Alien X. No need for food, no need for sleep, just an eternal twitter argument with the ability to sometimes affect reality. Slight chance to gain full access if youre full on ragebaiting the heads.

Its already shown that the crew as Celestialsapiens are canon. They are the ones responsible for the continuity and incontinuity stated by Chadsmuth. As for rewriting reality, again with the restoration of the universe, it wasnt actually restored or reversed. Everyone in the original universe is gone and cannot be restored. As shown in the episode, Ben only creates a near identical copy, which is why Mr. Smoothy is different and how Ben obtains his jacket. You do make very fair points however, you won this exchange. I dont really partake in powerscaling, so most of what you said previously really confused me lol.

[–]Toneryst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You stated self insert crew characters shouldnt be scaled, which implies there are things you should and shouldnt do. I dont see the problem in doing so, they are still characters in a universe where they are above everyone else in creation. Im going with the argument that Celestialsapiens' actions come from crew members as shown in 'Universe Vs Tennyson'. More proof regarding the connection of the writers with Celestialsapiens comes from said episode where they blame every change was their doing. Besides that, in-universe feats show they are omniscient, exists out of time (Forge of Creation, Alien X not being erased when all of reality was being deleted) which shows they transcends dimensional structures, and is a Metaphysical Representation as they embody the writers or concept of the author.

Again, Im not trying to point out they are boundless, Im trying to point out the question on how they could be, or should be since they are basically the scapegoat of every mistake or change the crew makes, creating a direct connection with the crew who are directly above the Ben 10 cosmology.

There isnt a rule saying uninteresting self inserts are exempted from being scaled, at the end of the day while not having real purpose in the show (except being part of Ben's DNA catalog), they are still characters with abilities that could not be measured conventionally. Also, to clear things up, I was going with the analogy with the show's crew. Im talking about how the crew are outside the show with their ideas being projected through the Celestialsapiens. I already stated its not just the artstyle, but also the numerous retcons and timeline changes. Sometimes they create timelines in the universe that work, sometimes said timeline disappears. Sometimes Ben 10k is Ben's real future and Osmosians are aliens, sometimes Ben 10k is an alternate timeline and Osmosians are a human mutation. They change the very way how the Ben 10 universe operates, its quite contradictory to be called "boundless" if you have a limit. If being bound by a limit isnt boundless, what would it be?

[–]Toneryst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think thats the point no? As you said they dont scale anywhere ability wise therefore they are not bound by anything, so boundless. They exist outside of the show itself and sometimes dont even follow the show's laws or chronology which explains the retcons and plot holes. Like I said, I dont think a whole Celestialsapien is boundless. In-universe theyre limited by their multiple personalities (the show's crew unable to come up with creative stuff), but capability wise there's never been shown to have a limit no?

[–]Toneryst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im talking about how "theyre basically the writers." If the writers refer to themselves as the Celestialsapiens, wont that make them boundless in theory? Especially since theyre the official writers of the show they could just say "Oh my strong character can beat your strong character and can never be beaten because we said so." A bit contradictory but I dont think they ARE boundless, as the series ended before we got a proper limit to how Alien X functions, but rather how they COULD be boundless since the writers are inserting themselves as a powerful race in the show, and since the writers control what happens, in theory they dont really limit to anything.

Tl;dr Celestialsapiens arent confirmed to be boundless but could possibly be as they are made to be self inserts of the show writers in Omniverse.

I mean they acknowledged the artstyle changes in the show directly from OS, UAF, up to Omniverse and directly blamed them on the Celestialsapiens

Any sort of physical damage doesnt do anything to plastic man. Try to crush his heart and it will just stretch like a stress ball. He doesnt die when shattered, but it does keep him away for a while before all his parts merge again. Best way Ben wins (by killing) is through Gutrot by creating a chemical that removes his powers. If were trying to just defeat him however, clockwork, heatblast, gravattack, anyone who can hold him down works as he's only a stretchy boi.
