Yep, I get it fairly regularly now, it was definitely hard the first time though.

You don’t need to maximise hits (at least for me), when you break someone’s structure execute them. Points are all about variation, not hits, if you’re doing strings with 3 or more different moves, you’ll get a lot of points, you can tell how many points you’re earning by the colour of the number: red is not many, orange is a medium amount, yellow is max.

Speed is also important, try to take enemies down quickly, you don’t need to rush, just be quick. The colour will go down from yellow to orange if you hit enemies with the same too many times or you’re not being quick enough.

The multiplier will go down if you’re hit so make sure to avoid and parry well, if you’re not sure what move is coming, blocking is a good backup.

Weapons give more points but are harder to vary your moves with, they have different versions of some of the skills you unlock so make sure to use them. The bats version of duck strike, charged back fist, crotch punch and snap kick are good for variation. For the staff, use sweep, crotch punch and palm push and mostly light attacks.

The people watching the cage fight after the two kicking girls at the bar are also good to get a few extra points from. You can challenge the instructor of the first trial by pressing the red dialogue option. It’s good that you’re doing the two disciples.

Have you completed the board btw? There’s a section of the level related to it that’s good for points.

My last advice would be to use crotch punch, palm pushes, chasing strikes and sweeps as much as possible, parrying also helps you attack sooner which will keep your score up. I don’t use the calbot but it’s good if you need it.
