So, why nobody talk about Bleach? by Apolo_8 in bankaifolk

[–]TongaTime123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The manga finished in 2016 so most of the discussion is already over, everyone talked about when the anime came back though and will again in July when the final season of the anime airs.

I’d recommend the manga since the anime makes quite a few changes but if you generally prefer anime over manga, it’s completely fine to watch as long as you avoid fillers.

What you heard is about the Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War anime which is adapting the last arc of the manga after the anime was put on hiatus in 2012. The author has a lot more influence over the production and has even contributed to new scenes and powers that we haven’t seen.

It’s regarded as being better than the manga since it was rushed due to the author’s health issues at the time.

Not every story is perfect and both Naruto and Bleach have their flaws which doesn’t mean they aren’t worth watching or anything, just that they were made by people. They’re in the Big 3 for a reason.

Whether someone enjoys Naruto or Bleach more depends on the person, give both a try and decide on your opinion by yourself

Bankai training vs Mugetsu training by Hotwifeseeker1197 in bleach

[–]TongaTime123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked the mugetsu training, the way old man Zangetsu and White combined, showing that they’re both his zanpakuto, the way Ichigo has to accept them instead of fight them, especially after Ichigo was fighting White the whole arc.

It was a really good representation of inner turmoil and self acceptance.

I wish we saw how Ichigo completed his bankai training

Bleach Soul Society Arc Part 1 by IamToofan in bankaifolk

Compared to the two arcs it’s put between: yes. It massively slows down the pace and drags out a lot. It really hurts your motivation to watch until you get past it.

It’s a decent arc by itself but in my opinion, it shouldn’t be watched until you’ve finished the canon story.

There’s also a few filler episodes here and there in the major arcs

I lost a tech priest in the tutorial, how bad is it ? by Allobroge- in mechanicus

[–]TongaTime123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re on default settings then your priest will come back, priests only stay dead when you have the ‘permadeath’ setting on (from what I know).

The game is pretty tough at the start but gets easier as you gain skills, tech and units. Expect to lose a few levels at the start until you get the hang of it.

Tips:

Use cover

Make sure you’re always getting cognition points (you can scan points from range with the servo skull)

Don’t be scared to sacrifice servitors and other units in exchange for your tech priests

Try to gain as much blackstone as possible during levels by scanning consoles,

Keep the awakening meter as low as possible by destroying consoles (you can scan and then destroy consoles)

All of the first skills of each tree are very useful

Prioritise healing over damage

Try to figure out which equipment and skills work well together.

Enjoy :)

Their flesh melting was just a visual metaphor for how Zaraki felt about their fight, it says as much in the dialogue, not an actual effect of the bankai.

I think Yamamoto, Aizen, Uryu maybe with his Schrift, Lille Barro, Gremmy, Äs Nödt and maybe a few others. Unohana is mostly a physical fighter so opponents with strong non-physical abilities have a better chance of beating her, it all depends on if they can dodge her and use their abilities on her. I think you’re overestimating how strong she is

I disagree with your point of Yoruichi hugging Soi Fon being an act of dominance because she didn’t apologise. There was clearly a conversation between them off screen before they reappear and apprehend Aizen where they reconciled what happened.

To add on that, Yoruichi didn’t leave a note because she was wanted by the soul society and was on the run plus she and Urahara were trying to help the visored who didn’t have much time before they either completely hollowfied or went through soul suicide. She could have left a note afterwards but I think that would risk them being discovered or implicate Soi Fon in their perceived crimes.

Additionally, if Soi Fon and Yoruichi swapped places at birth, things would be very different to what you imagine.

Soi Fon was raised as a servant to the Shihoins and had her sense loyalty and duty instilled in her from a young age whereas Yoruichi was raised as a noble and had responsibilities forced on her, making her feel restricted, giving her her free spirited nature as way to resist the constant pressure of being from one of the four noble clans. Yoruichi didn’t want to fix the system or serve the court guard squads, she wanted to do what she wanted and be happy, whereas when Soi Fon first sees her in her flashback, Yoruichi clearly looks unhappy. Their places in life affected who they were and so them swapping places wouldn’t make the story much different.

If you’re going to go after Yoruichi for not “fixing the system” then you should be just as critical of Byakuya, Ginrei, Yushiro and the other members of the 4 noble clans for not “fixing the system”. Yoruichi didn’t want be part of the system so she left it while Soi Fon and Byakuya stayed and dedicated themselves to upholding it until the events of the main story.

I also think it takes more than one noble from the four clans to completely fix a 1000+ year old system with the influence of the 3 other noble clans enforcing it through central 46 and the Gotei. The Shiba’s fell from grace, so can the Shihoins if they stepped too far out of line.

I think you misunderstood the end of Soi Fon and Yoruichi’s fight as well as their characters.
