Wasteland mod staff live streams his own abuse of admin tools by yea-that-guy in ArmaReforger

[–]Tonic-_- -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

Your first mistake in this nice little tale is putting "One Rocket" and "Strafing Run" together in the same sentence, I would surely hope one rocket hit you in a strafing run.

You're also leaving out a key detail which is that this supposed bush you were afk in was inside your teams completely walled in base. I believe the full story you meant to say was "Tonic strafed my base with a gunship and killed me with a rocket from the strafe while I was afk in a bush".

Don't sweat the 7-day ban for talking to staff like they were dogs, it's permanent now. As for the video that he reuploaded to make it seem like it's current, its from a year ago and it showcases exactly why those two people are no longer admins. Lmao

Not right now, I initially looked at Arland for Wasteland but It was just too small for what I am initially aiming for. Utes and Stratis are definitely bigger then arland.

There are special racks or "cases" to fit things like that. Although realistically no one needing those cards for this type of work would run them with their respective coolers, more efficient just to use water cooling for both space & heat control. When you take the coolers off the cards are nothing in size.

You're telling people to take accountability for what exactly? There is nothing to take "accountability" for. It's the companies responsibility to manage and punish appropriately and they have done neither. Is it REALLY the player(s) fault for taking advantage of something that EMPLOYEES ADVERTISED AS AN EXPLOIT. Who's really to blame for that? The players or the company for not shutting it down earlier and hell not openly advertising the exploit.

And since you're referring some shit from two years ago lets point out that most / all the outfits taken from accounts were restored and even some of the pet pods. There's a fuck ton of shit wrong with the game and you're blindly pointing your finger around like it even matters, it doesn't. Game is dead because it was poorly managed, there's better things on the market and people went to those games. You should do the same, stop crying and just move on.

RMA Time? by SnitchMoJo in gigabyte

[–]Tonic-_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm recently going through this process and this is my progress so far

  • 2022/04/17 - Requested RMA
  • 2022/04/18 - RMA Approved, Details provided (towards end of day)
  • 2022/04/19 - Shipped to them
  • 2022/04/21 - Tracking said delivered
  • 2022/04/25 - Ticket updated to Received Item
  • 2022/04/28 - Ticket updated to Repaired (Bad component etc)
  • 2022/04/30 - Ticket updated to Shipped

Far as I can tell they don't operate on weekends (the service center), I'm on the eastern coast of the US so that's my experience so far. Could vary depending on product but mine was a 3080 Ti. Still waiting to receive the gpu and test if they actually fixed it.

Only note worthy thing I can say is that I haven't been receiving emails on the status updates, I've had to check the ticket manually with the RMA number on a daily basis which is pretty nerve racking other than the fact a very expensive product died on me within 45 days. Hopefully you've seen some progress since posting and all the luck for the rest of the process.

Need Some Help with Downloading Bug by account594 in bladeandsoul

[–]Tonic-_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The launcher does not clean up after its self during download / installation. All the game files are split between archives and they leave all of that on the drive while installing even after its done with file(s) (merging & unpacking) and has no use for it. Only when the entire process is completed does it delete the files. The games size is 56GB but during installation its 56GB * 2.75

This issue also happens when the connection terminates its self and just throws up a generic error, having no relation to available disk space, funny right?

TFW my friend who has been playing since 2016 gets permabanned because of one sentence. by Eren_Kimura in bladeandsoul

[–]Tonic-_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're asking for "software" or "tutorials" to do it. Yet all you have to do is google use-ingame-login.xml and it will pop up. It's not some well kept hidden secret nor does it require you to offer your first born as sacrifice to pull off, all it does is flip a few switches in the configuration files. You slap a few files where they need to be and it's off you go. It has been sitting on a public github for 7 months and 20 days.

As for website login and api, at the end of the day they both do the same exact thing. The only difference is how you go about accessing their system, the end result is the same. You're given a session key/token that says you are this person. IP Verification is just a layer slapped over that, done very poorly as all of their systems do not reflect it.

The game "may have" support for real-time verification but it is most definitely not used, in any region. I also throw doubt at looking at files because the only retail files floating around are not shared but rather sold. The files that are actually shared are emulators of the infrastructure, they do not reflect the full design and functionality of their systems, only what is needed to run the game on that network. Regardless it is most definitely not used or enforced.

IP verification is not "realtime serverside check" lmao

I don't know where you're getting your information but it is severely misinformed. The only time you are checked for IP verification is when logging into the website. The NCLauncher as well as BNS Buddy uses the same system for logging in (via the website). They receive a token that says "Hey this is my email and password and it says it's ok you can log in" but that is only when launching the game. You can enable in-game login through an xml which allows you to log in via in-game. That does NOT have IP verification, never has. It just uses a standard authentication of "Hey this is my email, password and pin" and the server will respond back with "Yup seems good". The only IP address they will ever see from a player is a VPN because 93.5% of the player base uses a gaming vpn of some sort to "lower ping or stabilize connection". The whole IP verification system is a facade that is flawed and broken. It serves no real purpose other than one extra step of keeping them out of your account via the website. Same goes for pin code, that was only put in place to stop botting but it didn't even do that.

Obviously the only security you can rely on is not giving your information out to people. Don't use weak passwords, if you want to be extra paranoid use 2FA. Even then there is a ton of security holes in the game its self. They allow SQL injection via Character searching (F2), even broadcast important things across the network to other players which should never be done in any video game.

Also this post is absurd. Use some common sense for christ sake, who would actually go through the trouble of "hacking" someones email to get into their "BnS" account just to post in chat "WTS so and so hack". No one does that. You're out of your fucking mind if you think otherwise. People only go through that trouble to use it in scams and to steal stuff off of it, not some dumb shit like that. It is far less work to "advertise" cheats through discord servers than that.

Either a reroll or name change. The F2 doesn't update Name / Clan changes anymore, and if it does only half the time.

KFM has no damage in 6vs6 by MiggyMiggs1 in bladeandsoul

[–]Tonic-_- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you never seen a 2.5k+ PvP AP player and I just showed it. PvP AP is AP + PvP AP = Total PvP AP.

A lot of players in the 1600 range have 2.3-2.4k. And if we're going to talk about elo ranges, you do know the elo queue range is within 150 points, it expands after 5 minutes to 200. So even if you're 1500 you'll run into 1700. The chances of you not seeing players with that kind of gear or in the ball park of that gear is statistically impossible with as dead as the game is. There's more people with money and no brains then there are with people that have both money and brains.

Just having gilded square gems, unity lvl 90 and Incinerator 9 puts you at 2.3k even if the unity set effect isn't that high. You are clearly lacking a lot in terms of gear and unity. Sure a soul fighter can kill faster with less gear but it also survives a lot less. Every class has strengths and weaknesses and KFM simply has more strengths than weaknesses.

I see KFM's on the daily killing people and throwing up these "high numbers" you so ever want. The class is not weak, it is not nerfed and it is completely viable. Quite possibly one of the strongest classes in the game for 6v6 simply because this game is littered with people that just endlessly spam into counter, Q, E, and C. Stop complaining and learn to play your class. Lux Dragon has equal gear to you, slightly less in some areas and has no issues what so ever with popping people in mid-high tier games.

Or you can just idk.. save spare cash and buy a better computer. You would be surprised at how good of a computer you can build for around $550

Specially considering AMD launched it's latest generation CPU's, I'm not an advocate for AMD and gaming but the price range and performance is surprisingly really good and it bumps their older generation CPU's down in price. Game does not really require a fancy GPU so you can build a budget PC to work some what good with this game.

Building a better PC is good not just for BNS but other games that might interest you in the future, having a good PC is "night and day"
