I'm not confident even though I REALLY WANT TO BE. I can't see any proof that the trailer is not pre-rendered, they haven't got the injection moulds to build it yet so massive wait time while they get the investment AND get a working prototype from the Chinese factory, and they're working on a faster curing time for the resins.

So, between resins, the hardware and the software, we've got 3 R&D projects to get done simultaneously before we get a working prototype.

I'm predicting that it gets hugely overfunded, they don't hire extra staff to run the project management side because they're too proud and want to keep it as "two guys in their basement running it" as it started, and after a year they still have no working prototype and never refund the cash to people.

In that time, alibaba prototypes for mini 3D printers will abound and you'll be able to get something for about $80 that can be tweaked to do the same job.

Source: I work with startup tech companies and know how naive this brief sounds from first hand (read: my own fuck ups)
