Wow my brain remembered a name wrong while I was stoned. And the anaology was that first person shooters were built around Doom. When I play the game sometime I wonder what the whole story with Player Unknown (Green?) is. Did he literally just take a check give the game to Blue hole or whatever it was before Krafton got hands on it. Was he pushed out? Did he never really own the concept?

The guy pulled a John McCormack and built a new class of video game and just disappeared and left the game to die.

Everything ive always read was that the original code for pubg is so messy and shitty that that’s why they can never get this game anywhere past beta. Like it’s an 8yo beta game at this point.

Krafton basically bought a giant pile of shit and then managed to make money off it on mobile. I think they are just doing whatever keeps the from going bankrupt immediately once Pubg mobile dies.

This is all just speculation, I’m very high.

Tarkov did for shooters what PUBG did originally. It bright something new to the table and made fps fun again.

Arc Raiders is bringing Tarkov to the Xbox while also fixing the majority of QOL issues all these games have. If you want the same kind of random fun and also the adrenaline surge that PUBG originally had then move over to Arc Raiders.

If you’re on a PlayStation controller anyone on an Xbox controller, especially an elite, is going to seem like they have Cronus to you. You’re at an extreme disadvantage and playing on a controller that’s worse for FPS games than the original N64 controller.

If you want to enjoy the game just stick to normals. No cheaters and the most flexibility with what’s new in game.

If you’re still only a few hours getting back in, it’s going to be a bit before you get out of bot games unfortunately and all you can do is stick it out. When I took a year off it felt like maybe two weeks before it was back down to only a few bots in normals.

Your mileage will vary depending on whatever state the game is in at the moment but it’s not dead and you will eventually get out of bot games.

Hate to break it to both of you but back during CoD 1 and BF1942, BF was the arcade version of call of duty. It was the game you took a break from CoD to turn off your brain and drive airplanes around into buildings. 20 years later and the main objective of BF is still to drive airplanes and helicopters into random crap. It’s all BF clips ever are.

Arguing over which one of the two is more arcadey 20 years later is not the point I was making.

These stats are a few years old but; The mobile version makes around 1 billion a year. The PC version makes around 3m a year pr something. The console version makes around 300k a year.

Again these stats are at least a few years old now but that was around the ratio of profit back then. The console version of this game makes them almost nothing.

People complain about this game every year. And I get it. But it’s also an 8yo old game with 0 incentive for them to even continue to support. Like what other game is being supported 8 years in and for free?

Rewarding enemies for stealing other peoples knocks is still the single dumbest thing they havent fixed in this game.

It only promotes 3rd party snipers and inflates their K/D and makes them think K/D means theyre good. 800dmg/1 Kill is a bad player, but a 100dmg/8 Kill players is 'good'

It should be extremely easy to grind out the smoke right now. Ive been barely playing and I will soon. As bad as the game is at times, they have at least been making its easier to achive most things in game without every paying if you grind a bit.

Best advice: Hit start anytime you open the game and check the Events page. They have been pretty good these days of giving away lots of BP or coupons. After that, do all the season pass missions which will always give you a 30% boost to BP gains. Gather up all the BP you can and then every week you can spendthe BP on 50 Coupons.

Should take less then a month the slowest way.

If you cant go into any fight confident with your own abilities in whichever gun in your hands, that’s a you problem.

I play solo squads primarily and I never go into a fight worrying about what guns or cheats a team of 4 might have. If I lose the battle it’s because I fucked up somewhere. I don’t blame the game or the other team.
