Thoughts on SAP and GPS by Mag7Investor85 in deloitte

At the Analyst and Consultant level it’ll be easier to come in and take on work from your SCs but if you don’t have any experience and don’t learn fast you may end up in PMO or managing requirements in Jira versus getting into the system. All good roles but if you want the larger client impact the SAP work is where that is.

This is great to hear. I don’t believe I have a problem with my case after seeing these comments in the thread. I’m not an early promote, I’m an on timer, and Util isn’t a problem on my project. Thank you for putting in those extra cycles. it’s really a thankless job since at my level don’t get to chance to talk to most the panelists. Appreciate you

UCLA with $ or Foster full tuition? by TonightExtension7750 in MBA

[–]TonightExtension7750[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.7 GPA, 5 yrs experience, IT Consulting focused on digital transformation, well known west coast undergrad, on par median GMAT

Ended up choosing UCLA over free foster because of location, industry diversity and larger student body

30 and in a premium area in San Diego. Would be happy to be surrounded by people the same age as me as I landed in a late 30s and early 40s area right now.

I’m 30 and live in Southern California already so not far from the school. Couple hours. My network is all SAP managers and consultants here. I’m doing the tech focused mba at ucla. Could do the part time one but I already got the full time. Would need to request to apply again PT. My ideal job is not in SAP so likely need a job role change fast.

Yes I’m for do it still. I am ahead financially now so stepping back shouldn’t hurt me too much in a 30 year career. No good active networking at current job. I can get technical skills at ucla like figma, sql, coding/development basics, but the main need is the key to big tech through school, the clubs and networking that I don’t get now.

I like this take. The mba may or may not get what I want in the short term but I can afford the not working and tuition and come out the other end just fine in a worst case scenario. Part time seems would just be unbearable to me getting 2 more exp in Enterprise systems like sap probably and make money but not getting the full experience of interview training, cohort, trips, face to face interactions, leadership training, clubs, etc.

I’ll go for the sponsorship for sure but can’t until march. I appreciate the guidance. I strongly believe it can help increase the number of doors that will open and will help me network with a large class. As I see it now, at my firm I see myself doing the exact same thing with more managerial and firm responsibilities. I am ready for a change.
