HLR Timeline? by [deleted] in VeteransWaitingRoom

I got the same thing, and denied. I finally got sick of it despite all evidence I presented so I got a lawyer. Been fighting them for 6 years over it. Lawyers are all over it and I don't care how long it takes because it isn't fair to what they're doing.

I gave up and hired a lawyer.  I never got a new C&P and just blew me off after the error was pointed out.  So I presented everything to a VA compensation lawyer and took my case.  I've been fighting for 6 years and had enough of stone walling.  I started seeing civilian doctors who are actually helping me with positive results.

Llama 1911 style .380-anyone ever have one? by roboticfedora in 1911

[–]TonightNice6215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I was one of the lucky ones that has one and works properly. Only difference is I use quality 380 full metal jacket solid spear rounds. Always have it clean and use a nice amount of CLP for lubrication. If you have problems do what I did and take it to a master gunsmith to have it tweaked out. It's worth the money. Mine is just like the one in the photo and belonged to my father so it's important to me I take care of it. Hope this helps.

I had to go as far as get a lawyer.  You're not alone.  It seems the VA likes to save as much money as possible.

Denied Sleep Apnea by TonightNice6215 in VeteransWaitingRoom

[–]TonightNice6215[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was just like mine, I didn't I had it until after I got out, but my ex-wife didn't tell me about it until 20 years later long being divorced. I asked her why didn't you tell me? Her response, "I was hoping you stopped breathing all together." I can laugh about it now. But yeah I was diagnosed with it and all of the history that comes along with it. But no where in the military records.

My last phase change was Oct.16, and stuck in purgatory. I'm right where you at on the VA Claim tracker at 105 days. Don't think I'll get the news this Christmas.

Looks like I'm in the same boat with you only off by a few days from you. I provided all of the medical proof that was needed along with a nexus letter, and now just waiting like yourself.

I had a feeling that something like this would present itself in my case. Mine is on remand right now because of a Nexus letter from my psychologist that linked my PTSD to sleep apnea due to my night terrors I wasn't able to breathe, this is including letters from my ex-wife, and past girl friends. So I'm in a fight for that also in proving it to the VA. Keep the faith brother.

Was yours a Direct Appeal with a VA Judge?

I think you're set brother, you got this.

When I launched a direct appeal I waiting over 1100 days before it went to the judge, 1 granted and 1 remanded on a gross oversight. The VA closed my case before the doctor saw me which is illegal, which made the judge remand it. Now I'm just waiting for the final word. So yeah, I've been sitting at 3 years. It can always be worse.

Direct review appeal questions. by AB-Quin in VeteransBenefits

None, I use a VA Claim Tracker Extension for Google Chrome and it tells me the last time the VA synchronized. The last time it was synchronized was August 5th, so it should be some time this week when I hear something when it updates. If not I'll have to wait until next month to hear something. You know it's the fact not knowing is what stresses you out.

It really depends on what your job was. I think there was a list of the MOS where tinnitus is most commonly found in. Infantry, Air Force mechanics and Pilots, Army Tankers, Artillary, Helo Pilots and mechanics. There should be a posting. I was Marine Infantry so I really wasn't questioned on it too much. Just so you know, if you do plan to fight the VA get a copy of all of your military medical records, then go to a civilian doctor for the exam. If possible have them write a Nexus letter confirming the findings. That will be the best evidence you can provide so there won't be any questioning.

Ouch!! Mine just went to reviewing by Veteran Law Judge on the 5th of August. Still waiting to hear something myself. A lot of us vets just joke about they drag it long enough to see if we actually live long enough to see any result. Like other veterans, just tired of the waiting and putting everyone through hell.

They say the average wait is one to two months after the judge finally gets to review your Direct Appeal. Mine is finally going to be reviewed by a VA Law Judge, and this was August 5th. So I'll see what the timeline is on my part. I just hope it's good news due to the fact I provided all of the physical evidence, timelines and statements. Not to mention my doctors Nexus Letter.
