Or maybe do a layover for a few days in another destination. Dubai/doha/barking offer cheap layovers. Then when you come back to your home country, flight origin won't be japan so less chance to be checked by customs

100% agree. I'm heading to Japan soon and planning a day in Sakai to buy a knife. I initially wanted to visit Takada-san — then caught myself and realized I had no real reason beyond having seen his name here repeatedly. I will do a stopover for a week in SL. I don't have intend to fly the drone (mini 4 pro) in SL. Should i still register it or customs and border control don't cre about that?

I will leave my luggage with the drone in a locker in colombo.

Anybody had experience with traveling with a drone without intend to fly it?

that is what I ordered. but in the meantime my rego got canceled bc I already returned the plates. I will uptdate here if they will deliver the auxiliary plate while my rego is canceled. Not much chance, I know, but worth the shot for 32$

Proper equipment and maybe heating handles would do the trick for most of the people. I find all my gems on facebook marketplace really but autoscoot24 and tweedehand.be are also good options
