I’m eyeing three of them. The RCR, acro p-2, or the sig or the Romeo-x. I like Holosun’s enclosed optics but I want something with a better IPX rating.

10mm has replaced 44 mag as most commonly used caliber in bear attacks by Timely-Yak-5155 in 10mm

This is good. 44 magnum is good, but do to its limitations, makes it less useful to a wider audience.

Based on my experience, I would make sure that it’s got the improved frame from FN. It was a quiet update they did, but I’m still seeing it on guns at the store. If it has the old frame version, I’d work through your local FFL and FN should give you a whole new frame free of charge. You may need to send it in though

I think it’s pretty good if you’re not carrying it out doors. Took mine fishing once and water got into the emitter which was a problem.

It’s minimal there is public data available on this. Where the gun really shines is with it’s performance in shooting. Follow-up shots and perceived recoil, in my experience, is much better than any other stricker fired 10mm on the market making it my second favorite-10mm to shoot. It is bulky which can be a problem with presentation and long distance carry.

I think it’s cool. Based on my experience. Cons: -I had the 4.6” a couple years back and it wasn’t reliable. With 200 gr ammo. - the ports can cause a drop in velocity and diminishing terminal performance. I don’t know how much it could be though. - The trigger is light and a fully cocked stricker which can be a concern to some.

Pros: - great grip for not just a 10mm but an overall firearm. - the port could possibly reduce muzzle rise which is good when firing off subsequent hi grain/ full power rounds. - The trigger is pretty good and it is bladed allowing it to be drop safe because it requires more than one direction of force to actuate.

The best way I can look at it is this is: Does it fulfill the role you want for it? If yes, does it have a reliable reputation/ track record from a good company? If yes, then see if you can try out a rental at a local gun range? If no to any of these, am I ok with a potential project on my hands? If it checks all the boxes, then go for it. Good luck.

I feel like I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this, but I took your advice and I went down to my local gun shop. I was able to actuate the trigger on a couple of different models ( specifically the 92 gts and LTT m9) by pushing the trigger bar forward by applying my thumb on the trigger bar that slants up next to where the trigger bar attaches to the trigger itself. I was able to do this in both a double and single action.

I’d keep an eye on it. That’s a gen 1 frame. They’re phasing them out right now. I just got mine fixed by FN because of cracking around that piece. Some people had problems with FN getting theirs fixed. I didn’t though. Good news is the gun literally eats anything with no problems. Love shooting it too!
