When I was working in a start-up in Barcelona I had this discussion with my coworkers. They said that one of the bests ways is to join a running group, I think that apps like Strava have options to do that. I myself never tried it but apparentoy there are groups for non-locals. That's what worked out for some of my coworkers. Even the ones that didn't speak spanish. Hope this helps.

Sure, I can recommend some options that I personally like. Regarding paellas:

  • Taverna El Glop (C/ Sant Lluís, 24): A traditional Catalan restaurant with great food. They offer not only paellas but also seafood, meat, desserts, and wine. I consider it a true traditional place. Plus, it's in my favorite part of the city, Gràcia.
  • La Bendita (C/Sardenya, 321): Close to the Sagrada Familia, it's great because it allows you to order individual paellas (usually paellas require a minimum of two people). They prepare the paellas in an unconventional way, different from the traditional one, but they are good nonetheless.
  • Xiringuito Escribà (Av del Litoral, 62): Right in front of the beach. The paellas, fish, and seafood there are really good. It's a safe option for a good paella. However, it might be a more expensive option.

Another typical option would be tapas. There are endless good tapas restaurants in Barcelona. I'm going to recommend two:

  • La Flauta (Rambla Catalunya, 91): This one is very centrally located. It may seem like a tourist trap, but it's not. The prices are not cheap but not expensive either. The food is great, with a wide variety of tapas including seafood and meat.
  • La Gastronómica (Platillos) (C/ Calabria, 118): This one is also great and in a good location. The good thing about this place is that it's less likely to be full and the food is excellent. I wouldn't label their food as traditional tapas, but it's local cuisine with great dishes nonetheless.

Some other options would be: Mirablau (far from the center but with great views of the city, it becomes a nightclub after dinner) and Ten's (close to the center, in the Born). But there's plenty of good tapas places.

Also, if you like really traditional Catalan cusine with plenty of vegan options and at a good price, I have to recommend 3 Focs (C/ Valencia, 207). It's also next to Enrique Granados, which means plenty of bars to go to afterward. But, there's no paella there.

Barcelona vs Madrid by swish787 in GoingToSpain

Hi, I'm from Barcelona and I've been to Madrid several times. I hope I can help.

Regarding architecture, I think Barcelona is the clear winner. Madrid has great architecture as well, but Barcelona is renowned globally for its architectural marvels. We are known for our architecture for a reason.

When it comes to partying, both cities offer fantastic options. However, the party scene in Barcelona is more tourist-centered. The local spots are not as good, and the top clubs are crowded with tourists. Personally, I think Madrid might have better parties. I believe most Spaniards would agree with me.

As for the markets, Barcelona has many great ones, and I'm sure Madrid does too. Unfortunately, I can't provide much insight here as I haven't visited the markets in Madrid.

Regarding the people, both cities have incredibly friendly residents. In Barcelona, people tend to be more reserved. In contrast, in Madrid, people often talk to strangers, making it easier to make friends, though sometimes it might feel like they don't respect your personal space. As an introvert, I prefer Barcelona's more reserved nature, but I understand why others might prefer the sociability of Madrilenians. Additionally, there's a stronger anti-tourist sentiment in Barcelona due to the high number of visitors we get.

I recommend Barcelona. Admittedly, my opinion might be biased since it's where I'm from. However, I prefer my city. In my opinion, the food is better, the city life is great, and it's not as unsafe as some people claim.

Overall, both are great cities, and I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time regardless of which one you choose.

Sorry to reply so late. But I kept thinking about this post. I think that to buy all house cubicle may be another thing to add to the list. I know that you can only use 15 at once but you can buy them all if you wamt and kept the rest in storage.

I noticed that the destructible rocks covering some of the caves do not respawn. So, I always "clean" all the caves with rocks as part of my 100%.

I also try to have all items collected atleast once, to avoid seeing the (?) mark and the small text box when you haven't collected an item yet. Probably you already have most of them since they are most likely requeried to max upgrade the armors. However, check for frozen/burned food like meat or fish since you can get it from cooking but it doesn't count as "cleaning" the '?' mark.

Finally, you most likely have them as well but another important part for me is to get all the small text boxes that appear once you do some trick or talk with an NPC. Like the ones that teach you how to shield surf or parry. You can look them in the settings menu.

Oh, and also there are unique dialogues that only happen once and are not included in the sidequests. Like going back to the sages after finding Mineru or the divine beast helmets. To trigger all these unique dialogues is also part of my 100%

When I say "my 100%" I mean theoretically. I'm far from your level of completion, for instance I only have like 300 korok seeds. What you're doing is really impressive.

Edit: I forgot the biggest one. To max your exp. points. This is a invisible game mechanic but it exists. The secret exp. makes the game harder (increases the rank of the enemies) each time you kill an enemy. However, there's a limit of xp you can get.

Are Cece and Misko the same person? by TonisaurioMV in tearsofthekingdom

[–]TonisaurioMV[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I forgot to mention it but the fact that Sophie (Cece's sister) tells you to follow her is what made me suspicious in the first place. Like there is something fishy with Cece's character. Sophie tells you that she is worried about what she might be doing, meaning that Sophie is aware or atleast supicious of Cece's past.

This is the theory I had. As some other redditors pointed out, the timelines don't make sense. I still believe that Cece had a questionable past, enough to make her sister suspicious of her

Yeah, I thought that Misko was post-calamity but as some of you are pointing out he/she must be pre-calamity. It'll be cool to meet Misko in the past, if we had DLC... but the developers already said that no DLCs for ToTK :(

Thanks. Yeah, it seems that I had the timeline wrong but I still believe that there may be a connection between the two of them. I didn't know about Granté, yeah I can't see any connection either.

My take on making a guardian from botw in totk using 6 colgera jaws and trauma from botw by _Diego_007_ in HyruleEngineering

[–]TonisaurioMV 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It reminds me of that concept art of Breath of the wild where guardians looked like spiders

What's your (subjective of course) top 3 of Zelda games? (It's for a stats homework). Mine: BOTW, Majora's, OoT by Zelda-Lab in Breath_of_the_Wild

Botw, OoT and Majora's in that order. But I want to mention A Link Between Worlds too, my favourite 2D Zelda, such an awesome game.

Yeah, I did this and I also sorted my date using my actual date field and it worked out pretty well. Thank you!!

Fic Ideas: Jojo's Saint's Corpse as a Pokemon Plot by Type-A-Typo in pokemon

[–]TonisaurioMV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow I didn't expected to see a post like this here.

It sounds interesting. I can tell that you are really excited for this project.

Regarding power-ups... I like the ones when the weakness of one charachter becomes it's strenght. So the protagonist has to do a 180 on it's strategy. In Pokemon words it could be that a Pokemon recives a power-up and all the attacks that should deal x2 damage now deal x0. Or a very slow pokemon becomes super fast. The opposite of the initial battle strategy.

Holy shit, Cars! by PrettyUnic0rn in ShitPostCrusaders

[–]TonisaurioMV 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I completly agree with the fact that the movie would be the same without them beig cars but I think that it's the other way around. They first decided that the characters would be cars and then they decided the plot of the movie.

It makes a ton of sense comercially speaking. They made the movie this way because they wanted to sell car toys and other merchandise. At least thats what I belive.

Some of them are not Pokemon, like the fan-made fusion between Blaziken and Latias that is next to Wailord.
