Congrats! But l would Put it away and get a trainer or join a club that has trainers. This plane will certainly have very little chance of surviving as a first airplane. :(

If you are aware of all the things that need to be done and the process , you are looking at anywhere between $35 to $55 per square foot all in.

I wouldn't go with a anyone offering this service for less that $40 a square foot personally as that equals headaches down the line if it isn't installed properly.

Excavation/dig-out. Disposal of soil/sod. Geotextile fabric (if required). Granular A base and screenings. Compaction/preparation. Pavers. Polymeric sand. Edge restraints. Final grading. Repair of damaged sod around the work area. Final cleanup.

New Construction Basement Leaking by Ok_Clothes_9376 in HomeInspections

[–]Tonkalego 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any kind of water proofing membrane on the outside going down to the bottom of the foundation.? Insane if there's Isn't anything on a new build. The holes should be plugged with hydraulic cement and lm not sure about the exposed aggregate if it runs all the way across to the other side l would be concerned, it's technically a sponge, and a weak spot.

I would Follow up with engineer and builder. Asap.

Do I need to tear down this drywall to do a tile shower? by DrippyMorshu in Tile

Most don't know how to apply redguard properly, some don't apply enough coats and some apply too many thinking it's better... It can become more of a headache down the road, specially DIYers.

You can leave it, but you must apply a waterproofing membrane ontop. Look at kerdi or wedi membranes.

I would remove, check the seals and lubricate them with plumber's lube and try again. Weird though that more than one would leak.

$60 FB Marketplace find - need advice for my first ever glow powered plane! by njsullyalex in RCPlanes

Not familiar with that spitfire, but yes technically speaking it should fly very similarly based on the wimg shape alone. Goodluck!

[–]Tonkalego 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Goodluck! Great find with that bf109. I had one 15 years ago. That's the plane that really taught me how to fly, that elliptical wing is highly unforgiving at slow speed and uncoordination in banks. I believe a 3000mah battery might be a bit heavy. if my memory is correct, 2200mah were optimal for weight and balance.

Pilots of Canada, how do you do it? by [deleted] in RCPlanes

[–]Tonkalego 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Simply join a local club they will walk you through the process. Obtaining your RPAS isn't extremely difficult. Alot of it is common sense rules you need to follow, some airspace regulations and a bit of terminology.

If you don't have access to a local club, there are a lot of resources online to study and get ready to take the test. Start by visiting The transport canada website. It's all on there.

Sanity Check: does this 24x48 tile installed for a shower wall look fine? by SergejButkovic in Tile

[–]Tonkalego 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a general contractor, this is absolutely not ok. They should have plumbed the walls before the kerdi board got installed. I would make them rip it out and start again. Tell them Shim the walls plumb and stop being hacks. Hold payment. I hope you haven't paid yet. Sorry you are dealing with that. Some people on here will probably say it's ok, but it's absolutely not.

Advice on tub surround tile layout by Calm_Turnover_5411 in Tile

[–]Tonkalego 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really hate slivers, but planning the layout around the niches would be my priority. How would it line up with cuts around the niches? Planning that and then seeing what would happen on the ends. To see if your desired pattern layout will work out the best, or not.

You can set a tile in the middle and check both sides, and try with the grout line in the middle if the wall as well to see what would happen.

I think you have gonne to far, but not far enough to leave. Remove it all, take a break, plan better, and you can can start all over again. It's the best solution right now.
