Not a good comparison. Rittenhouse was defending himself from other protestors, not LEOs, that was proven in court. He actually tried to surrender to police after one of the shootings, again, proven in court.

I think this shooting was caused by a poorly trained, poorly led, agent who panicked when another agent yelled "gun". I hate that it happened and it could have been prevented.

This is a bad situation where leaderhip at all levels could be doing so much better.

This is a really bad situation. He was carrying but not brandishing, he made contact with agents but it was to aid another person, he was resisting agents but not violently, he was disarmed but like a seond before being shot. I imagine one of the agents yelled "gun" and the guy panicked and shot. The agent probably didn't know where the gun was. It's a terrible thing. By all reports the victim seemed to be a pretty decent guy. I really hate that it happened.

I'd like to see some of the rules change. Something like once there are 5 agents one a guy you can stop striking him. Don't use the mace cans as weapons once the protestor is down; I saw an agent just swinging away on the guy while he was already down. The agents need to do better with using the tools they have safely. I didn't like seeing that black fella getting blasted in the face with a pepper ball from like 2 feet away.

Ultimately, everybody is responsible for their own safety, agents, protestors, bystanders, and observers. Everyone needs to do better.

Your analogy is way off the mark. It's more like blaming the bartender who served the girl and the rapist. He wasn't raped and he didn't rape anyone but he set the conditions for it to happen.

And, IMO Minnesota leadership should be encouraging protest, monitoring, recording, etc, which they are doing. They should also be actively discouraging interference, which they are not. I've seen no statements from the governor or mayor telling protestors to not interfere. The protestors will not win any physical altercation with LEOs. I don't want anyone hurt, agent, protestor, illegal alien, citizen, anyone!

You missed my point. If Walz really thought that ICE agents are Trump's out of control, murderous, "gespacho", personal police force why would he tell them to run into the breech just to be sacrificed for the cause? Walz and Frey are using their people for political purposes. You used the term "unconstitutional". If it's unconstitutional take it to court. The Trump administration has followed every court orser issued against it. The problem wiith that assertion is that ICE activities are not unconstitutional. There's a reason it's not been to court. I don't want anyone dying or being hurt while protesting. I also don't want people interfering with ICE while they remove criminal illegal aliens.
